The film goes back to 1970's San Diego, where media was considered extremely important, and state news were taken seriously. Ron Burgundy, is respected by his audience for his credibility and one of the top-rated anchormen, which is about to change when Veronica, a beautiful anchorwoman, is hired at the TV station. From that moment, a competition ensues between Veronica and Burgundy.
