When John Connor, Human Resistance leader, launches a final attack on Skynet (a global artificial intelligence operating system called "Genisys" leading a machines' rise against mankind), Skynet sends a T-800 Terminator to 1987 to kill Sarah, John's mother. Kyle, John's right-hand man, follows the T-800 and Sarah re-programmes it into "Pops" to form a team in a deadly adventure to destroy Genisys.
