Badr grows infatuated with Layal and wants to propose to her. Meanwhile, Layal suffers her stepfather's mistreatment of her and his constant pressure to force her to sell her grandmother's gold necklace so that he could pay off his debts.
Ali meets Layal and sparks fly between them. Ali asks Abdullah and Sa'ad to help him deal his drugs.
Sa'ad puts forth conditions if he is to work with Ali. Abdullah tells Sarah that Ali wants to marry Layal. Badr's mother falls ill and is rushed to the hospital.

On his engagement ceremony, Ali falls ill and is rushed to the hospital. Abdullah goes back to gambling but ends up losing a huge amount of money.
Ali doesn't inform Layal of his disease, which puts a strain on their relationship. Gerah tries to embroil Sa'ad in illegal trade. Badr's father passes away. As fire breaks out at Layal's house, she is left with severe burns.

So'oud's father passes away. Layal's mother questions her husband's fidelity. Gerah goes mad when an important document goes missing. Nancy continues with the plan to get closer to Mahmoud and Julie in order to enact her foul scheme.
Badr and Omran meet and discuss their projects. Layal succumbs to depression and falls into a state of self-isolation. Badr makes a new friendship with a college student.
Omran wants to please his daughter Julie, and she persuades him to meet Mahmoud. Abdullah gets ready to travel to Lebanon with Layal and Sabah to seek treatment for Layal.
Omran and Badr's friendship strengthens, and Omran asks Badr to acquaint him with the corruption taking place at the company. Layal starts treatment at Omran's hospital. Gerah tells Sa'ad that he intends to report that the file is missing.
Julie is upset when Omran hires Badr as the deputy director of the company. Badr discovers the rampant administrative corruption and the embezzlement in the company, while Edward asks Omran to finance the expansion project.
Omran acquaints his daughter with what he learned about Mahmoud. Badr exposes Edward's foul intentions. Sa'ad plots to resume his business without Gerah and Abdullah.
Layal blames Abdullah for leaving her alone at the hospital. Badr tells Omran that Edward wanted to bribe him. Julie and Badr develop mutual trust. Therapist Hend tries to help Layal move forward. Mos'ab's gang abducts Ali and his men.
Badr and Julie grow closer, while Mahmoud and Nancy plot against Julie. Mos'ab and Ali reach a financial settlement and Ali and his men are released.

Sabah carries through with her plan to reveal her marriage. Hend decides that Layal's next phase of treatment should take place in the outside world, and Layal leaves the hospital. Mahmoud tells Malek that Omran traveled to France.
Mahmoud is depressed when his relationship with Nancy is revealed. So'oud and Omran plan for their new project. Things grow tense between Badr and Julie when he reprimands her for meeting Mahmoud.
Omran tells Badr he must go to France. Sa'ad tells Gerah that they will work together behind Ali's back. Julie confronts Nancy and Mahmoud that she knows they are not siblings. Sabah asks Abdullah for a divorce.
Mahmoud and Nancy devise a plot to take revenge on Julie. Sparks fly between So'oud and Safy.
As Abdullah seeks shelter at Gerah's house, he tells him that everyone knows about his and Sabah's marriage. Hend asks So'oud to help with Layal's difficult financial situation. An unpleasant surprise awaits Sarah when Layal tells her about the arrival of a notice from court against Abdullah.
Hend tells Layal that the hospital fees were paid. John and Rhode break into Badr's office to steal the documents for the expansion project. Ali urges Mos'ab to make haste and sell the 'stuff' before the police catch them. Abdullah falls ill.
Abdullah begs for Sarah's forgiveness as his health goes downhill. Badr dismisses John and Rhode when he learns that they broke into his office.
Abdullah becomes paralyzed. Ali gets mad when he loses an important file. Sabah visits Abdullah at the hospital and has second thoughts regarding their divorce.
Nancy has Julie kidnapped. The lawyer tells Sabah that the court approved her divorce. Mahmoud tells Omran about Nancy's plan and urges him to call the cops and save Julie. Layal meets Badr at the hospital, but it's too late to recommence their romance; not when he truly loves Julie.
