Hamza tells Nassif that there is a strike, and Haddad, who works in the newspaper, is detained with his father, while Afifa is worried about them and asks her father to help them.

Haddad and his father are released from prison, but Hamza is still detained for giving a speech against the government. A fight breaks out between Saleh and Selim over the musicians' wages.

Samiha asks Yaqoub to marry off Haddad to Afifa, the daughter of Iskandar, and Haddad agrees when he finds out.

Afifa goes to Haddad's house and tells him that she is not thinking of marriage because she dreams of becoming a singer. As Saleh visits Iskandar, Afifa seizes the opportunity.

Naseem asks Samira, the dancer, to provide him with any information from Bakr Pasha in exchange for a reward. Afifa agrees with Saleh that he compose a song for her.

As Afifa sings in Abdullah's nightclub, the audience admires her voice, so Abdullah asks that they sign a contract, while Haddad and his family go to ask for her hand in marriage from her father, and he agrees that she sing even after marriage.

Abu Allawi tells Abu Haddad (Haddad's father) that he objects to Afifa's singing in the cabaret. Sheikh Salman asks for Afifa's hand in marriage from her father amid her mother's anger.

Selim Effendi asks Afifa to sing for him, but her conditions do not please him but he finally agrees to them, while Haddad visits Afifa and expresses to her and her mother how much he admires her.

Dr. Julius meets Bakr Pasha in the club and they talk about politics, while the female singers in the club refuse to sing because Afifa will sing with them.

Bakr meets Afifa and expresses his admiration for her voice, after which Samira urges Afifa not to get involved in an affair with Bakr Pasha because he will eventually leave her.

Bakr Pasha intervenes to prevent Sheikh Salman from opening a bottle of wine for Afifa while she is singing, while Haddad grows jealous and asks Afifa again that they marry.

When Afifa goes out with the Pasha, he confesses his love to her and his wish to be in a relationship with her, but she refuses. Wasim tries to spy on the Pasha for fear of arming the army from parties other than Britain.

Naseem kills Samira in front of Afifa and asks the latter to work as a spy for him and Britain by getting close to the Pasha and taking all the information from him so as not to cooperate with Germany and Hitler against England.

Haddad is arrested for criticizing the government in an article he wrote for the newspaper, so Bakr Pasha intervenes to release him at Afifa's request.

Bakr Pasha asks Afifa to convey the news of his meeting with German Chancellor Groupa to Naseem as well as his agreement with him to buy a shipment of weapons from Germany. Haddad begs Afifa to marry him.

Afifa is afraid of Naseem, so she asks the Pasha to expedite the end of the matter, while he provides her with the wrong information to deliver it to Naseem, who believes it.

The armed clans demand that the Al-Ikhaa party take over against the government's will, and Haddad refuses the army's intervention against the revolutionaries. The Pasha decides to travel and then resigns.

Selim tells Naseem his doubts about the issue of the Pasha's resignation, after which Naseem arrests Afifa's mother to pressure her.

Iskandar is worried about his wife. Afifa asks Naseem to return her mother, but he denies that he has something to do with her kidnapping.

Haddad interviews Hikmat Sulayman. As Bakr Pasha returns from travel and learns about the kidnapping of Maryam, he seeks to take revenge on Naseem.

When Naseem learns that Afifa met with the representative of the German delegation in Iraq, he decides to end any relationship with Afifa and threatens her with death, while her mother is afraid and wants to leave the country.

As Afifa goes again to meet Frau Groupa, Haddad accidentally sees her at the headquarters while conducting a press interview, upon which he gets angry and wants to know the secret of her relationship with her, so she is forced to tell him about Naseem.

Bakr Pasha submits his resignation to the Minister of Defense and Naseem rejoices. Haddad meets Bakr in his office and tells him that he will marry Afifa soon.

Bakr Pasha gets sad when he learns of Afifa's relationship with Haddad, and she quarrels with Haddad because he lied to the Pasha, who and a group of free officers decide to revolt against the king.

Bakr Pasha and his forces march to Baghdad to impose his control over it amid the fear of Naseem and Selim Effendi, who have been arrested to be held accountable, while Afifa confesses to Bakr her love for him.
