In the future when the mob wants to get rid of someone, they use time travel to send them back a few decades, where "looper" Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is waiting to kill them off. Joe excels at his job, but one day he must face off against his future self (Bruce Willis) when the mob decides to "close the loop."
