As Khaled is upset by his brother Jassem's request to hire an accountant to follow up on his work in the company, Rashid looks forward to returning to Hanan, who treats him coldly all the time. Moreover, Youssef meets Maryam and expresses his admiration for her.
Youssef is saddened after he learns that Maryam is engaged to someone else, and Aisha blames her son Mohamed for not caring about his wife Nouf and being out of the house all the time. Nouf sees her husband with one of the girls, and Hanan remembers Umm Rashid’s bad treatment of her.
Nouf asks for a divorce after Mohamed cheats on her, and Maryam prepares for the wedding.
As Saddam's soldiers raid Kuwait and capture Faisal, Jassem continues to search for him.
Khaled's family is surprised by Iraqi soldiers demanding that they vacate the house and they seize it, and Faisal remains in the Iraqi prison.
Khaled is forced to leave his home, and so is Jassem, and they live with their families in their father’s house.
Abu Khaled receives many residents in his house, and Mohamed decides to go to the border to search for Faisal or reach Saudi Arabia.
Mohamed bids farewell to his family and travels. One of Faisal's colleagues dies in captivity. Salem and Fahd go out without anyone knowing and roam the streets writing banners against the Iraqi occupation.
The people gather and Rashid and his father lead them in a demonstration of sacrifice against the Iraqi aggression, and many are wounded and killed. In Saudi Arabia, Mohamed meets Talal, who helps him in his mission.
Rashid organizes a popular resistance against the Iraqi occupation, and Ghada is forced to go out as an Iraqi citizen to help an injured young man. Mohamed returns to Kuwait, and Salem and his brother kill an Iraqi soldier.
Iraqi forces raid Abu Khaled's house to search for the killer of the Iraqi soldier. They arrest Salem and Fahd. Rashid is forced to confess to killing the soldier to save his two brothers. Jassem is forced to hide in a water tank for fear of being arrested.
Mohamed succeeds in identifying an Iraqi soldier and bribing him to release Rashid from prison, and the resistance continues to distribute leaflets to collect weapons and organize a defensive front against the Iraqi occupation.
Mohamed's condition changes for the better, he gives up drinking and becomes interested in participating in the resistance, and Rashid also comes out of his depression and agrees with Hanan to help needy families.
Youssef confesses his love to Maryam, and everyone is surprised when the Iraqi officer raids Abu Khaled's house to search for someone, and in the prisoner camp, the soldiers torture Faisal and his colleagues.
Through the friendship that has developed between him and the Iraqi officer, Mohamed succeeds in getting his family members released.
Nouf refuses to leave Kuwait without Mohamed and tells Umm Mohamed of her pregnancy. On the other hand, Salem disappears and everyone searches for him.
The Iraqi officer interrogates Salem on charges of possessing weapons, and he is tortured in prison. Mohamed and Rashid try to release him but to no avail.
Hanan continues to help Rashid by providing aid to poor families in need, and the Iraqi soldiers decide to move the families to another place.
Salem dies of his wounds after being released from prison, and news spread that Faisal and his colleagues have been transferred to Saudi Arabia.
Fahd remains depressed after the death of his twin Salem, and Jassem goes out with Ghada to search for their son Mohamed before he is deported.
Ghada arrives at the prison camp to visit her son Mohamed, and Talal arrives in Kuwait from Saudi Arabia, carrying news from members of the resistance there, and Mohamed tells him about the developments in the region.
Mohamed quarrels with his brother Youssef because he has joined the resistance and put everyone in danger, and Amjad agrees with the Iraqi soldiers to smuggle Faisal out of prison.
The Iraqi officer arrests Maryam, puts her in detention, and blames Mohamed and Youssef for throwing her into the resistance.
Faisal is transferred to the hospital, where an Iraqi doctor sympathizes with him and helps him escape from the hospital. On the other hand, Maryam remains in detention and the soldiers try to interrogate him to find out who the rest of the resistance members are.
Youssef visits Maryam in detention disguised in an Iraqi military uniform, and Mohamed quarrels with another Iraqi soldier and beats him after the soldier attempts to harass a Kuwaiti girl.
As the Iraqi doctor helps Faisal escape to Kuwait, Maryam remains in the prison and is tortured by the occupiers. Mohamed tries to hide from the Iraqi soldiers after the last attack on the soldier.
Coalition forces strike Baghdad, and Faisal quarrels with the Iraqi driver and leaves him in the desert.
As Maryam is killed, Faisal remains missing in the desert, and Iraq launches missiles at Riyadh.
Desert Storm ( Gulf War ) begins, and Kuwait is liberated from its occupier.
Faisal returns to his family, years pass and Youssef keeps his promise to Maryam, and so Rashid remains among the missing.
