Horatio and his team are brought together to investigate a series of mysterious murders. They first encounter a bizarre case involving a woman killed by a predatory jaw, but the incident has deeper implications. They then have to solve the mystery of a missing girl from a nightclub, which brings up an old unsolved case. Toby is arrested for the murder, but Horatio suspects the circumstances of the crime. He and his team strive to solve the mystery and uncover the missing facts.
