When Souad goes to her neighbour Samir to take a look at a magazine that features her favorite actress, she tells him that if her father finds her with him, he will kill her. When Souad's father sees her at Samir's apartment, he decides to wed her to him.

Samir gets tired of his wife Souad’s cooking and complains about her to her father, who gives her a cookbook to make Béchamel pasta. Souad cooks the pasta and her hungry father eats it. Then she discovers that she replaced the flour with an insecticide in the pasta.

Souad's uncle comes to visit her and tells her that he will stay with them for a while in order to buy his children a VCR. As Souad complains to Samir about her uncle's constantly vexing her, the uncle tells them that his wife and children will come to stay with him in their apartment.

Souad complains to her father Farghali that Samir has been neglecting her, telling him that today is her birthday. Farghali tells Samir about Souad's birthday, so Samir decides to steal a gold pin from his wife's jewelry in order to give it to her on her birthday.

Souad's neighbor, Naeem, tells her that his father-in-law is sick and asks her to buy his wife's coat in order to pay for his treatment. Souad and Samir suspect that Naeem has killed his wife and sold the home furniture, and they inform the police, only to discover that his wife is still alive.

Samir and Souad quarrel over his constant laziness, so Souad leaves the house and goes next door to her father. Farghali tells Samir that Souad is in his apartment in Suez and will not come until he decides to patch things up with her, so Samir relies on himself and does all the house chores.

Samir and Souad decide to invite his boss to his home to convince him of his entitlement to the travel grant to Sweden. As Samir knows that his boss is a football fan, he decides to watch matches and read sports news, only to discover that his manager is an Ahly fan while his wife is a Zamalek fan.

As Farghali rents out his apartment to a woman named Anisa, Samir asks Souad to limit her association with her as he's suspicious of her. As Farghali flirts with Anisa, she tells him that her daughter is getting married and asks to take the house furniture, causing Samir to freak out.

Samir pretends to be sick after his wife lost the student exam paper, so the director decides to inform the administrative prosecution and sends a doctor to examine him. Farghali unwittingly reveals to the doctor that Samir is not sick, and the doctor ends up quarrelling with Samir.

When Souad buys a desk for her husband Samir, the maid discovers that there are 10 thousand pounds in it and tries to take them. Farghali, by chance, discovers the secret drawer in the desk, gets the money, and informs Samir and Souad.

Farghali agrees with Samir and Souad's friends to throw them a surprise party on their wedding anniversary. As the friends arrive, Farghali tells them that Souad and Samir are outside, so they gossip about them, only to discover that Samir and Souad heard everything they said about them.

When Souad buys a goat, Samir is surprised by its behavior and decides to get rid of it, so he goes to the cooperative store and leaves it there, only for the doorman to return the goat to Samir. As Farghali tries to get rid of the goat, the policeman catches him and hands it over to Samir.
