Nageh confesses to Shams that he has killed Hajjaj, so Abu Al Fadl is accused of the murder, and the mayoralty is transferred to him. Shams hangs him in his home and disappears with Aziza, and Sameh is transferred to the far reaches of Upper Egypt.
