Mona is waiting to meet her father Raafat after a long absence, and while he is traveling to see her, he dies after getting into a tragic accident. Mona reads her father's diary and discovers that he fought his brother, Shedeed, in order to marry her mother, Nabila.

Mona travels to the town of her family and disguises herself as a peasant girl named Zakia in order to enter her uncle's house. She meets her grandfather, Wadeed, and Umm Sherif (Sherif's mother) agrees to hire her in the villa. Sherif asks to break off his engagement to Sherine.

Mona agrees with Aghwati to return to him his right, which Shedeed took away. The town's supervisor, Saleh, meets Mona, discovers that she is the daughter of Raafat and Nabila, and warns her that Shedeed would come after her if he knew her true identity.

Mona reports Shedeed's appropriation of state land to the police; meanwhile, she thinks of stealing the forged farm contract and fleeing, but Saleh advises her to stay so Shedeed wouldn't suspect her. Sherif confesses his love to Mona.

Mona returns to Aghwati his land that Shedeed seized, and decides to go on with her plan to exact revenge on him by reporting him for tax evasion. Murad returns from his travels.

Sherif tells his mother that he loves Mona. Shedeed decides to kill Wadeed, but Saleh stops him and convinces him not to. Shedeed thinks about revealing Mona's identity to Sherif and his mother.

Shedeed reveals the truth about Mona in front of everyone, and that she is his brother Raafat's daughter. Murad confesses his love to Mona. Shedeed signs over all his property to Murad and rejects the idea of him marrying Mona.

Murad quarrels with Mona because he believes that she loves Aghwati. Saleh and Shedeed agree to kill Mona, and when she decides to leave, Saleh locks her in her room.

Shedeed asks Murad to take over all his business, warns him about Aghwati, who helps Mona escape, and calls the police. Saleh reveals to Shedeed that he is his real father.

Murad is accused of trying to kill Wadeed, after which the latter is taken to the hospital, and the doctor discovers that Aghwati is the killer. Saleh asks Shedeed not to tell anyone that he is his father. Murad confronts Shedeed with stealing Mona's land and property.

Fayez tries to kill Mona, but the police arrest him and Saleh kills him before he informs on him. When Shedeed confesses to Mona and his children that he is not her uncle, Saleh kills him by mistake. Mona and Murad start their life together.
