Adnan decides to return to his siblings' house and tell them about his marriage and the date of his escape from Iraq as the police are searching for him. When his siblings learn of his return, they fear he will demand his property and rights, so they agree to keep him away.
Adnan leaves his will to Kamal and asks him to give his share of his parents’ inheritance to his wife, Ayyam. He then reports his brother Sinan, and Adnan gets arrested and tortured to death. Ayyam learns of the news of his death and suspects that his brothers are behind the matter, coveting his property.
Saher and his sister Ayyam go to Kamal to demand Adnan's share, but he kicks them out, and Sinan beats her. Alwan heads with the villager to Hajj Razouki's house and demands the departure of him and his daughter, accusing her of committing adultery because of her pregnancy, unaware of her marriage to Adnan.
Ayyam's son, Muhannad, grows up and believes he is an illegitimate son, as his mother did not tell him about his father's family. Sinan discovers Ayyam's presence and informs Kamal about it as he became a representative in Parliament, so he fears that what he did to Adnan and the possession of his property will be exposed.
Ayyam hides her son's father's family out of fear for him. Kamal thinks of silencing her with money, and his wife Firdaus refuses to acknowledge Ayyam's marriage to Adnan. Sahar hears her parents talking and confronts her father, who tries to justify what he did to her uncle.
Sinan meets a friend of his and asks him for Ayyam's address so he can give her Adnan's inheritance. Ayyam agrees after taking her brother's opinion, due to Muhannad's insistence on getting to know his father's family. Alwan returns from the Levant wealthy and wants to buy all the village houses and shops.
Sahar discovers that her cousin Muhannad, Adnan's son, is studying with her at university, and she feels oppressed as she remembers what her father and uncle Sinan did to him. Ayyam goes with her brother to meet Sinan and Kamal.
Ayyam refuses to tell Kamal and Sinan that she has a son as she is worried about him. Kamal feels guilty towards her and wants to give her Adnan's property, but Sinan refuses and threatens him. Sahar tries to get close to Muhannad, but Dalia sees her and feels jealous because she likes him.
Dalia asks Bahaa to fix her car and bring it home. Saher's friend tells him he wants to marry Ayyam, but she refuses. On the other hand, Muhannad works with Uncle Noman in selling Lablabi in front of the university. Alwan meets Saheb, and Saher is surprised by his wealth.
Faten wants to divorce Saher, but her brothers refuse. Bahaa admires Dalia and calls her. Muhannad is still working with Uncle Noman. Saher tells his sister that Saheb proposed to marry her, but she refuses.
Ayyam goes with Saher to the village to bring Faten back, and Alwan is surprised to see them, especially since they do not know that Saher has married Faten at Saher’s wish. Muhannad feels sad that he does not know his father's family and stops attending college.
While Muhannad is arrested on charges of forging personal papers after his identity is discovered by the university's administration, Sahar searches for him with his close friend. The relationship between Dalia and Bahaa becomes stronger.
Saher and Muhannad are imprisoned until the completion of the case. Sahar quarrels with her uncle Sinan and her mother because they tore up Ayyam and Adnan's marriage certificate, the only evidence proving Muhannad's identity. Kamal feels guilty when he learns of Muhannad's presence, and his daughter scolds him.
Ayyam goes to Sinan and Firdaus to beg them to release Muhannad from prison and confess his lineage to Adnan, but they refuse, and Sahar is saddened by her father’s negative attitude. As for Bahaa, he quarrels with Alwan and beats him because he speaks about the reputation of Ayyam and her brother.
Captain Arif asks the dean of the college for permission for Muhannad to take the exams. He meets Sahar there, and she tells him she is Muhannad’s cousin. Arif asks Sinan for Ayyam's marriage certificate. Alwan beats his friend, who is taken to the hospital.
The dean of the college agrees to let Muhannad take the exams. Sahar visits Muhannad in prison and tells him that she is his cousin. Muhannad gets angry after his mother tells him what his uncles did to them. Bahaa decides to marry Dalia and asks to meet her father, who rejects the idea.
Firdaus and Sinan go to Ayyam and ask her to forget her relationship with Adnan in exchange for giving her a lot of money. Captain Arif takes a sample from Adnan’s corpse to prove Muhannad’s lineage to Adnan. Alwan threatens Bahaa, beats him, and tells him to stay away from Dalia.
As the relationship between Sahar and Muhannad strengthens, Captain Arif asks to take a sample of Adnan’s remains to examine it in the laboratory. Alwan pretends to reconcile with Saheb and Bahaa, but they refuse to communicate with him.
Kamal fires the guard, Hakim, for spying on Sahar for Firdaus. The DNA results do not match Muhannad's, so Arif is surprised by the news. Kamal reminds Sinan that he is not his brother, as his father adopted him when he found him lying in front of the mosque.
Captain Arif tells Kamal about the DNA results and asks him for proof that Adnan was executed. Bahaa goes with his brother Saheb to propose to Dalia, but they are surprised that her father is Alwan, who kicks them out of his house.
Ayyam is surprised by the DNA results, and Captain Arif gives her Adnan's watch and ring to confirm that he is the one buried in the grave. Dalia asks Bahaa to speak to her father again, but he refuses.
Alwan agrees with Bahaa to convince Saheb to sell his house to him as a condition for his marriage to his daughter Dalia. Captain Arif discovers that the remains in the grave are not Adnan's.
Saher and Muhannad are released from prison, and Ayyam is very happy for them. Sahar goes to receive them, and when her father finds out, he sends Sinan to bring her home. Bahaa asks Saheb to sell the house and take his share.
Ayyam is worried that if Muhannad goes out, Kamal or Sinan might target him. Alwan insists that Bahaa sells the family home to spite Saheb, and the brothers quarrel with each other.
Muhannad agrees with Arif to reveal the truth about his lineage, and he also suspects that Adnan is still alive. Alwan does not agree to his daughter's meetings with Bahaa, even with the sale of the family’s private home. Sahar attempts suicide and is taken to the hospital.
Muhannad tries to visit Sahar in the hospital, but Kamal and Sinan's men prevent him and beat him, and Sinan throws him in a remote place. On the other hand, Ayyam begs Arif to find her son.
Sinan tries to assassinate Captain Arif, and Sahar tells her father to watch out for himself and beware of Sinan. Saher discovers that Faten bought a car and a lot of gold while he was imprisoned, so he tells her brother Saheb about it.
Faten dies, and Saher puts his house up for sale to pay off Faten's debts. On the other hand, Alwan wants to buy Saher's house as well as Saheb's and Bahaa's. Arif tells Muhannad that he is looking for his father after he uncovers evidence that he is still alive.
Officer Abu Raghad, who was responsible for Adnan's case, tells Captain Arif that he smuggled Adnan out of Iraq in exchange for half of his wealth, and another person gets arrested and executed instead of him.
Abu Raghad tells Arif that Noman owns half of Adnan's wealth since he registered it in his name. Abu Raghad smuggles Adnan to the Turkish borders after passing several villages, and they fight when Adnan learns that someone got executed instead of him.
Arif returns to Iraq and tells Kamal all about Adnan's story. Alwan buys Saheb's house and kicks Bahaa out amid Dalia's sadness. On the other hand, Saheb suffers a heart attack, and Saher takes him to the hospital.
