In a store that sells musical instruments, Mrs. Theodore buys a piano as a birthday gift for her husband and gives the store owner her address for delivery. The owner makes an agreement with Laurel and Hardy Furniture Transport Company to deliver the piano. When Laurel and Hardy discover from the postman that the house is at the top of a lofty staircase, they make several comical attempts to lift the piano into the house, failing each time.
