Nash'ie opens up a store to sell gasoline but his business is deemed impractical as electricity reaches homes. Khash'ie starts putting up lampposts in the streets and provides different houses in the neighborhood with electricity. A set of comic situations unfold.

Khas'ie and Nash'ie become business partners, extending electricity wires to different homes, but they face several problems as Umm Faisal accuses Nash'ie of theft and the police investigate him. As Khas'ie asks Marzouk to open the new power station, a mistake results in Marzouk being electrocuted.

Khash'ie starts working at the power station and his manager asks him to turn on the lights at night only. Khash'ie makes use of his job to cut off electricity from the houses of people he dislikes. Nash'ie shifts his business to the oil trade, but his store explodes when he gets an electric supply.

The police officer investigates Khash'ie for supplying Nash'ie's store with electricity, which ended up setting the market on fire. Al-Dawis decides to build a café in the village, but the district chief and Suweilam refuse and urge him to get the required permits first.

When Khash'ie is dismissed from his job at the gas station, he learns how to drive in the hope of landing a new job. He trains with Nash'ie on a car that he crashes into the café.

The police arrest Nash'ie for demolishing the café and breaking Mofleh's leg. Khash'ie asks Mofleh to drop the charges in exchange for money, and the policeman urges Nash'ie to pay the costs of rebuilding the café.

Nash'ie rebuilds the café. Khash'ie is hired as a driver of a water-distribution vehicle in the neighborhood.

Khash'ie suggests that Nash'ie opens up a new store in the market. Khash'ie goes swimming inside the tank of the water-distribution vehicle that provides people with drinking water.

Khash'ie rents Nash'ie's car and mixes water with oil, believing it benefits the livestock, but things take a turn for the worse when the people of the village become itchy.

When Khash'ie reports his son's disappearance, Officer Suweilam gives orders to search for the boy. The district chief has a skin disease attributed to using the water distributed by Khash'ie. The missing boy is found inside the water tank attached to the vehicle.

Khash'ie urges his son to falsely claim that he was kidnapped. Khash'ie's friend testifies that Khash'ie mixed the water with oil, causing skin irritation to the villagers. An Egyptian teacher, Bayoumy, arrives at the village to be the school principal.

Khash'ie considers suicide to make it up to Nash'ie, but as he puts his plan into action, he accidentally shoots Bayoumy, the school principal, and rushes to save him.

Officer Suweilam finds the gun that Bayoumy was shot with, and Faleh validates that it is his son Nash'ie's. Nash'ie is arrested while Khash'ie stays at Bayoumy's house to tend to him.

Principal Bayoumy hires Khash'ie at the school and he starts adding the students' names to the school database. Nash'ie tells Khash'ie that he was accused of shooting Bayoumy and that's why he was imprisoned.

Nash'ie is released when Bayoumy drops the charges against him. On the first day of school, the Arabic teacher, Bor'ei, arrives, and Bayoumy receives a telegraph from Egypt, reporting his wife's death.

Khash'ie tells the district chief that he has nominated him to teach the Islamic Religion course at school. Khash'ie catches students selling food at the school. The Captain asks Nash'ie to let him take charge of the water-supply vehicle.

Bayoumy reproaches Khash'ie for tying the students up and torturing them. Nash'ie quarrels with Saleh and Suweilam takes him into police custody. Bayoumy is shocked when Khash'ie takes all the students to the cafe.

Bayoumy is shocked to learn that Khash'ie has turned the school's warehouse into a corral to breed livestock. Nash'ie looks after Saleh until he recuperates. The Captain is upset to see Sultan bossing everyone around and taking responsibility for everything.

Doctors Henry and Victoria arrive at the village where they are to work, and the district chief meets them. Bayoumy is shocked that Khash'ie has once more used the warehouse to keep Nash'ie's camel, until it devours all the books. Khash'ie is demoted to the position of a driver to the students.

As the district chief opens a new hospital, Khash'ie overloads the school car with students, causing them to get into an accident and become the hospital's first 'visitors', while Khash'ie is arrested.

The daughter of principal Bayoumy arrives and stays at his house. Khash'ie is released, but gets fired from his job at the school. Saleh regains his eyesight as he starts his treatment at the new hospital. Zeinab returns to the village and claims ownership of the Captain's house.

Nash'ie develops a crush on the foreign doctor at the hospital and tries to approach her. Meanwhile, Khash'ie helps Zeinab with her stuff and with claiming the Captain's house. The Captain crosses paths with Fardous, the principal's daughter, and catches feelings for her.

Balquis has a heart attack and is rushed to the hospital where Victoria supervises her condition. Victoria tends to Khash'ie as well, which makes his wife suspect they're having an affair. Nash'ie is displeased when he sees Khash'ie getting closer to Victoria.

To convince Zeinab that he cares for her, Khash'ie agrees with the burglar Abu Matwa to claim that Khash'ie beat him up when he burgled Zeinab's house. Khash'ie tells the people that Captain Marzouk left his house for Bayoumy and his daughter. Balquis accepts to marry Nash'ie's father.

Victoria files a complaint against Nash'ie for creeping up on her. Preparations are made for the wedding of Balquis and Nash'ie's father, but as Khash'ie and Nash'ie have a disagreement, the wedding is canceled.

Nash'ie's father quarrels with his son who's unable to help him pay Balquis's dowry. When they eventually collect the dowry money Nash'ie's father marries Balquis.

Khash'ie convinces Nash'ie that his hand is injured, using this as an excuse to go to the hospital and meet Victoria, but they're shocked when her colleague is the one who treats the injured hand. Marzouk asks for Khash'ie's help to find a bride.

Khash'ie breaks Nash'ie's arm once more in an attempt to see Victoria. The district chief considers dyeing his beard so that Fardous would like him. Khash'ie proposes to Zeinab.

Fardous mistakenly believes that Khash'ie wants to wed her, but she's shocked to learn it is actually the district chief who wants to. Zeinab refuses to wed Khash'ie and accuses him of theft.

Zebida asks Marzouk to marry her, and right after their marriage, she passes away. The district chief's first wife quarrels with him and Fardous. Victoria tells Nash'ie that his wife, Ghazala, is pregnant. Marzouk decides to sell Zebida's house.
