As the 1972 baseball season draws to a close, legendary superstar Roberto Clemente prepares to strike his 3,000th hit to set a new baseball record. Two brothers - one of whom has muscular dystrophy that leaves him unable to move - decide to go to the big stadium to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event. The two brothers set off on a car trip to catch up with the event and fulfill their dream.
