With a new agent assigned to track Red John, Jane pulls out all the stops to stay apprised of the investigation. Lisbon uncovers a conspiracy that hits too close to home.

The Mentalist S3

Jane's last encounter with Red John leaves him skeptical about continuing to work for the CBI as the search for Kristina Frye continues, making everyone fear that she is dead.

The Mentalist S4

Jane deals with the aftermath of shooting Red John, but a series of surprising events lead him to suspect that the man he killed is not who he thought him to be, landing him at square one in the search for his family's killer.

The Mentalist S5

With the CBI and the FBI in conflict over how the Red John case was handled, the search for Red John becomes more complicated as Jane seeks to uncover the mole working for Red John within the ranks of the FBI, but ends up crossing a lot of lines in the process.

As Jane and the CBI get close to uncovering Red John's real identity, the latter taunts Jane with attacks that hit too close to home. The CBI is dealt a heavy blow from the FBI, which leaves Jane acting outside the law to bring down Red John.

The Mentalist S7

Jane and Lisbon start a new chapter in their lives, both professionally and romantically, when romance blossoms between them as they join the FBI.
