Young Megan aspires to be a successful journalist, but losing her job and having her apartment burn down forces her to change her plans. She reluctantly accepts a tutoring opportunity for the granddaughters of businesswoman Laurel Limoges, before uncovering many of the secrets of the wealthy as she tries to repair the damage life has done to these two teenagers.
