Detective Sarah Linden puts her personal life on hold, as she investigates the murder of a teenage girl in Seattle, while the girls’ family deals with their loss, and a local political figure gets mixed up in the case.
In this season, Sarah Linden loses trust in Stephen Holder, believing that he provided false evidence against Darren Richmond in Rosie Larsen's case, upon which she postpones her relocation to California in order to prove Darren's innocence.
Sarah Linden continues her investigative work a year after solving the case of Rosie Larsen, when she discovers a new string of vicious killings linked to an older case.
