In the late 1950s New York, Max was the king of Broadway, but nowadays all his shows flop. He meets accountant Leo Bloom; who proposes a scheme. They decide to produce a musical called Springtime for Hitler written by a fugitive Nazi, get crazy Roger De Bris to direct, and bring a Swedish actress to star.
