Maryam is shocked after discovering her daughter's divorce. When Maryam’s ex-husband, Sherif, comes with his new wife, Sandra, to the restaurant where she works, Maryam welcomes them.
When Maryam goes to her friend, Dolly, to patch things up with her after their quarrel, the latter advises her not to contact Yasmine's ex-husband or try to fix things between them.
Sherif talks about the reasons for his divorce from Maryam and how much he endured in order to preserve their relationship. Yasmine apologizes to her father and they become reconciled.
Maryam gets sad as her children do not remember her birthday, while Sherif tries to convince Sandra that his relationship with Maryam is limited to her being the mother of his children only.
As Assem and his wife undergo fertility tests, he discovers that she has a problem that makes her chances of conceiving low, so he tries to help her get over it.
Ibrahim's father dies, and Maryam and the rest of the workers go to offer their condolences. Hussam, Yasmine’s ex-husband, tells Assem that he still loves her. Sandra goes to Maryam's restaurant and tells her that she has invited the producer of her new show to the restaurant.
Adam quarrels with Reem after seeing her ex-boyfriend, while the relationship between Yasmine and Osama solidifies.
As Maryam searches for Nabil after his long absence, she contacts his daughter to check on him, only to discover his death in his apartment.
Maryam tells Umm Hanan and Dolly about her former life and her suffering from everyone’s neglect, whereupon she decides to change her life and take care of herself, while Umm Hanan returns to work in the restaurant.
Maryam travels to Beirut with Dolly’s help, which surprises her children, whom she tells that she needs to take a vacation and enjoy her life.
Dolly continues to try to change Maryam. Iman is attacked by her stepfather, so she runs away from him. Chico tells Iman that his father objects to his marrying a non-Nubian girl.
Osama decides to stay away from Yasmine to give her a chance to decide whether she agrees to marry him. Marwan performs plastic surgery on Maryam, whereupon their relationship solidifies.
Dolly and Maryam meet Marwan, who is trying to get close to the latter, while Maryam tries to convince Dolly that she is not thinking of Marwan.
When Marwan tells Maryam about his sick son, she tries to comfort him, whereas Maryam evades Dolly, as she tries to deny her relationship with Marwan.
Chico tells Iman what happened between him and his father, so she quarrels with him. Osama rejects Hussam's request to stay away from Yasmine, who confesses to Hussam that she asked for a divorce because she did not love him.
Marwan tells Maryam about his ex-wife and how she caused his son Riad's illness. Marwan confesses to Elaine his love for Maryam and his wish to hold on to her.
Maryam evades Marwan, who sends her a message asking her to come visit his son, Riad. When Maryam goes to Marwan's house, he confesses his love to her, so she gets angry and leaves.
When Maryam returns to Egypt with her new look, her children are surprised, while Yasmine and Sherif are taken aback by Maryam's changed features, and Sandra gets jealous.
Shehab tells Rania that he wants to end his relationship with her due to her continuing relationship with Assem. Sandra quarrels with the director of her show as he tries to get close to her despite her being married. Umm Hanan continues to push Ibrahim to marry his relative.
Sherif is surprised by the big changes in the personality of Maryam, who tells Dolly about Sherif's attempts to get close to her again. Hind goes to tell Maryam about her illness.
Sherif continues to try to get close to Maryam, while Assem tells Sherif that he wants to marry another woman in order to become a father, so he advises him not to choose the easy solution and ruin his relationship with his first wife.
Maryam is surprised by the arrival of Marwan and Riad in Egypt, after which Marwan asks her to forget what he told her in Beirut and preserve their friendship.
Umm Hanan proposes to Iman that she marry Chico and live in her house. Maryam invites her children to meet Marwan and Riad.
Dolly quarrels with Maryam for hiding the news of Hind's having cancer from her, and accuses her of being preoccupied with Marwan and Sherif's rivalry over her love.
Marwan reassures Maryam, telling her about the high success rate of Hind's operation and her return to normal after the operation.
When Marawan invites Maryam and Dolly to dinner, they run into Sandra and Sherif, and the latter confesses his love for Maryam in front of everyone under the influence of alcohol.
Marawan tells Dolly that he loves Maryam. When Samah quarrels with Ibrahim, he confesses to her that he feels that she’s like a sister to him.
Chico's family agrees to his marriage to Iman. Sherif divorces Sandra. Shehab kicks Rania out after discovering her pregnancy. As Sherif and Marwan meet, they confess to each other their love for Maryam.
Marwan asks Maryam to choose between him and Sherif. Assem confesses to his family his marriage to Rania and her pregnancy. Maryam's family agrees to Osama's marriage to their daughter.
As Hind’s surgery is successful, she leaves the hospital. Sherif asks Maryam to take him back, but she refuses. Assem’s condition improves. Adam asks for Amira’s hand. Marwan proposes to Maryam, but she says no.
