As his debts and taxes mount and leave him unable to pay them off, Saqr Abu Monqar believes the only way out for him is to get into a hospital. He learns that his brother Wedah works at the hospital and has hope that he might offer help.
Saqr meets Wedah and the two get to know each other, only for Saqr to try and persuade Wedah to write over his own property to Wedah, promising to make him his business partner.
Despite his initial suspicion, Wedah accepts to have Saqr's property registered in his name.
Wedah is arrested as he is accused of killing Naqa. In prison, Ghada visits Wedah to offer him help, and he develops a crush on her.
When Wedah falls ill, he is rushed to the hospital. As Wedah's wife, Sheikha, visits him, she is shocked to see Ghada there, prompting Wedah to feign having lost his memory, and hence he doesn't remember who Sheikha is.
Madame Fofo tries to get closer to Wedah and flirts with him.
Saqr decides to participate in a camel race, betting on the three camels he bought from Ben Shousan.
The doctor pays Wedah a visit and tells him that his brother Abu Al-Malayin (Saqr) wants to partner up with him for an important project.

Khaled blames Abu Al-Malayin for visiting Wedah, after Wedah seizes all his brother's money. Khaled and Abu Al-Malayin try to figure out a way to get Wedah to return the money.
Umm Ghada stays at her daughter and Wedah's house to devise a plot so that her daughter would seize Wedah's money. But she is shocked when Abu Al-Malayin visits her at home and brings her a birthday gift.
With many men wooing Umm Ghada, Wedah wants his uncle Buttay to propose to her as well. Buttay tries to get closer to Umm Ghada.
Abu Al-Malayin devises a plot to enable him to learn everything about Wedah and Ghada, and he plots it with Samar. He learns about the projects his brother is up to.
Abu Al-Malayin rejoices when Samar tells him she is pregnant, and he asks Shousan to fulfill her every wish.

Jobless and homeless, Wedah asks his brother Saqr to hire him at his and Samar's restaurant.
