As Abu Ahmed (Ahmed's father) reaches retirement age, he decides to search for work. Nasser refuses to work with his brother Ahmed. Ahmed offers his father to work in his shop.

Abu Ahmed decides to force his family to take over the responsibility of running the house for a week to test their upbringing. As Ahmed takes over the management of the house in the first week, he begins to control his siblings and forces Nadia to quit her job.

Ahmed forces his father to work in his shop. As Fathy replaces Ahmed in his week, he orders Samar not to go to university and agrees to her engagement to Nabil, while causing disputes between Nadia and her husband Saeed.

As Fathy's week ends, Nasser takes charge of the family and begins to take revenge on his brother Fathy by ordering him to work in trade, while he forces his mother to give him the money that she hides from his father.

As Nadia's week for managing the house arrives, she forces Nasser to go to a psychiatrist, and insists on Karim's engagement to the girl he loves, while Ahmed is forced to stay at home as his wife runs his business.

As Karim takes over the management of the house, he orders Fathy to work in the candy factory. When Karim proposes to create a fund to collect money and solve the problems of family members, it turns out that he came up with the idea to get the money to solve his own problems.

After Karim gets married, it's Samar's turn who takes his money for his honeymoon with his wife. As Samar tells Ahmed to go to night school and complete his education, she shocks her family by her marriage to Marwan.

As Marwan and Samer wed, Abu Ahmed grieves over the misbehavior of his children during the period as each of them runs the house. Samar returns the money to Karim and Amal to travel on their honeymoon, while their younger sibling Ramy takes over the management of the house.

Marwan and Samar suffer because they can't find a house for them. As Ramy runs the house, all the family members try to exploit him to fulfill their demands. Ramy refuses Ahmed's request to let Karim and Nasser work in his shop, while Ramy asks his father to read his diary.

As Naima's turn comes to run the house, she holds a trial for all family members to hold them accountable for their actions. Amal blames Karim for his weakness and submission to his brothers.

When the grandmother takes over the affairs of the house after the end of Naima's week, she forbids smoking and decides to continue implementing Naima's previous decisions for her week, while she orders the family to reach out to their relatives and neighbors.

As Abu Ahmed takes over the responsibility of the family again during his week, he begins to put tests for the family to see their view of responsibility. As Abu Ahmed divides the apartment between the siblings, he orders Nasser to get married.

Abu Ahmed tries to make it up to Naima after neglecting her during his week. As the family experiment ends, Abu Ahmed decides to overcome the differences that arose between his family members during the experiment and turn over a new leaf.
