Sayid Ishta buys the building in which Sherif Assal and his family live, which makes Engy upset with the social level of her neighbors. Engy and her family give their neighbors a housewarming gift, and they think that Sayid is slaughtering Goma'a, but it turns out that he is slaughtering a sheep.
Engy runs for the club's elections. When Ma'any sees Engy's advertisements, she decides to run as well. Sayid pays Haron a million pounds to accept Ma'any's membership and allow her to run for the elections. Zainab Al-Dirndaly wins the elections.
When Ma'any and Sayid have a fight, Engy encourages her to leave the house. But when Ma'any moves in with Engy, Engy turns to Rostum to reconcile Ma'any and Sayid.
The news of a serial killer in the area spreads, which makes Ma'any fear for her family and refuse to let them leave the house. Engy invites them over to her apartment but everyone is scared.
Sherif locks Assal up and Ishta advises him to jump from the balcony to their apartment. But when Ma'any comes, Assal hides. Engy and Sherif think that Sayed killed Assal but Ishta tells them where he is.
Sayid follows Ma'any's advice and starts saving money by limiting the house expenses and locking the fridge. Sherif buys flowers for Engy but she catches him with another woman.
Farghaly and Ghandour go to rob Sherif's apartment, but they find nothing to steal, so Engy advises them to rob Sayid's apartment. Farghali takes Sherif and Assal on as his assistants, and he takes Ma'any's advice to rob Engy. Kumar is able to catch the thieves.
Rostum gets sick and Ma'any invites him over to her apartment. When Sayid comes home with guests, he finds Rostum in the apartment and gets upset. Engy asks Gebs to kidnap Rostum. Sherif returns and finds him in the bedroom.
Ishta advises Assal to take acting classes to be an actor and promises to help him find a production company. She convinces Sayid to start a production company. Sherif mistakenly believes that Assal's coach is Engy's lover, and wants to kill him, but Engy clears up the misunderstanding.
Sherif and Sayid begin to learn the Lebanese dialect to get closer to the Lebanese girl Rola by bringing her gifts. She takes whatever she likes from them, like the mobile and the watch, until they discover that she is married to Fady.
Engy dreams that her family works for Sayid's family after they become impoverished. She believes that the dream came true when the boat that held a cargo for Sherif's gallery sank with all their money. It turns out that the boat did not sink.
Engy appears on a TV program and calls for the abolition of the job of the butcher to encourage people to eat vegetables, which made Sayid and Ma'any upset. Ma'any resorts to making her own show "the Ma'any Show" that she uses to tell people to eat meat.
Yang and Tang sell Sherif a device that turns a person into who he wants to be, then Sayid buys the same device, resulting in a change in Sherif and Sayid's behavior after each of them wishes to be the other.
Ma'any asks Moselhy to help her find a spell that she thinks Engy put on her as Engy enlists Lo'ay's helo. But it turns out that the paper that Ma'any found is actually an Urdu letter written by Goma'a.
When Assal starts to sing all the time, Sherif brings him a psychiatrist named Maghawry who asks him to play along. Shady takes two thousand pounds from Assal to make him an album but he turns out to be a conman. Sayid catches Maghawry.
When the elevator breaks down with Sayid, Ma'any, Rostum, Engy, and Sherif inside, they all confess the pranks they pulled on each other. When the elevator is fixed, they reconcile with each other but return to their old ways shortly thereafter.
When Sayid starts dreaming of his first wife Tahany, his doctor tells him that he's depressed because of the void that she left behind that no one could fill.
When Ma'any and Engy ask their husbands to buy them gifts, Sayid and Sherif both buy necklaces from Goma'a that turn out to be cursed. The necklaces age whoever wears them up because they are stolen from cremated bodies.
Assal wants to be a famous presenter but he fails. He turns to Goma'a to do a trick and broadcasts a recording from his room. The two families listen to the radio but Ishta finds out the truth.
Ishta throws her birthday party while Ma'any and Sayid are away but Goma'a thinks that it's Ishta and Assal's wedding party. When Ma'any and Sayid return and find out, Sayid is furious due to the scandal.
Japanese relatives visit Rostum then Ma'any's apartment. As they claim that the Mulukhiyah is Japanese and that the Egyptians must pay the intellectual, agricultural and cooking rights to Japan, a competition is held and the Egyptian side wins.
Shaheista is looking for something to help her in her research, and she finds Mido wearing the butcher clothes and substituting for Sayid who is sick. She puts an ad for the delivery service at the butcher shop. Sherif thinks that Shaheista is having an affair with Mido.
The Russian Safy agrees to work for Engy and Ma'any after she advises them to partner up. As she takes the money and flees, it turns out that Sayid and Sherif are the ones who asked her to do so. When they withhold her share of the money, she exposes them to Engy and Ma'any.
Sayid takes his lawyer's advice to sell the building on paper so that he does not go bankrupt. Engy and Sherif offer to buy it, but Sayid refuses because Goma'a will pay more since he inherited a lot from his father. Goma'a asks for Shaheista's hand in marriage.
Rostum, Sherif, and Sayid refuse to pay the costs of repairing the building, so Goma'a tries to save what can be saved. As they watch a football match, something short circuits but Goma'a saves the day.
While Engy prepares iftar (the end of fasting meal) for her friends on the first day of Ramadan at the building's garden, Ma'any also prepares iftar at the garden and the two families gather in the same place.
The building residents start complaining about the situation at the building after Goma'a left because of their bad treatment. They decide that there is no other way but to bring him back and treat him better.
As Assal decides to become a political activist, he begins to watch political programs and read books. An accident happens to him that makes him famous, until everyone finds out that what happened was a mistake and that Assal is not a political activist.
Assal and Ishta ask Rostum to convince their families to let them marry, but Sayid misunderstands and thinks that Merabaa is the groom. The three families meet in Sayid's apartment but each of them has a different idea about the marriage.
After everyone realizes the misunderstanding that happened, Assal and Ishta get married, but Merabaa comes with his men. It turns out that he came to ask for Shaheista's hand in marriage. Engy, Ma'any, Shaheista, and Ishta get pregnant.
