Inside Damascus, the child Naiem is murdered at the hands of unknown people, and sadness prevails through the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Lina decides to move to Lebanon in the hope of escaping the bad conditions the country is going through.
The country's conditions are getting increasingly worse, and so are the sufferings incurred by the Syrians after their displacement to Lebanon. On a TV show, Karim sheds light on the current situation and the problem of marrying Syrian women that spread widely in the neighboring Arab countries.
Naguib tries to persuade his friend Abu Abdo to return to his home. Meanwhile, quarrels between Lina and Karim occur following the latter's new job. Fouad meets with the Albanian foreigner. A woman appears and she acts in opposition to the Syrian regime; she meets with Raji.
Sami is trying to occupy a high position in the state. Quarrels between Lina and Karim continue as she learns he's seeing Rima. Dina suspects that her mother is seeing another man. Raji, meanwhile, is busy resuming what he started in Syria before the outbreak of the revolution.
Naguib is getting more concerned about his children and family, while Fouad is growing more negligent of his family. Dina admits to being in a relationship with another man, and her daughter Dina quarrels with her. Mira also fights with her fiancé for his mistreatment of her.
Naguib and Abu Abdo are saddened that their sons are not among the detainees that the regime has released. Karim continues presenting his show stressing the problems of Syrian women. Sami is getting ready for the elections and Fouad tries to communicate with the Free Army and the opposition.
Mariam unravels the truth about her marriage to an old man and her family's dispersal following the war in Syria. Fouad and the others are trying to arm the opposition. Dina, meanwhile, breaks up with the Syrian guy after she learns she's pregnant with his baby.
Karim and Reem's relationship is getting more intense as she asks him to find them an apartment. Dina's husband has his worries as his wife is indifferent about his return and his presence. Sami is trying to comfort Abu Abdo after his son's arrest.
Dina's daughter is trying to embarrass her mother in front of the father, but her father gets angry at her. Abu Abdo tells Abu Sami that he could visit Adel at prison. Raji is getting closer to Mariam whom he's helping to find her brother Zeyad.
Abu Abdo is saddened that his son isn't among the detainees that are pardoned. Nour tries to convince Mariam to report to the police on the man who raped her. Discord arises between Mira and Dina. Reem tries to get the director of the channel to assign everything to Karim.
Ghada is upset to learn that Abu Sami has cancer, and the attending physician asks her to inform his children, but Naguib refuses. Mira is still infatuated with the man she met through Facebook. Fouad tries to persuade his brother to sell the house and move to Lebanon.
Naguib decides to move to Lebanon and promises his family to return once things in Syria look up. Donia's husband learns that she has been cheating on him. Lina leaves home after it is confirmed that her husband Karim is seeing Reem. Noura is jealous of Raji's relationship with the florist.
Essam is trying to learn what led Donia to cheat on him. Meanwhile, Karim is still looking for his wife and son. Raji is getting more attached to the florist Reem, while Mira decides to meet Youssef. Naguib travels to Lebanon.
Karim is reassured to learn where Lina and his son are. Fouad is trying to strike an arms deal. As she acts against Raji's advice and goes out, someone attempts to rape Mariam. Mira and Fadi quarrel after he learns about Youssef.
Karim tries to prove to Lina that he is faithful to her. Mira is torn between Fadi who threatens to leave her, and Youssef, who fails to make it to their first date. Naguib's family is still having numerous disputes between the father and the children.
Fouad reconciles Karim and Lina and she returns home with him. Raji and Mariam confess love to one another and they decide to return to Damascus. Mir breaks up with Fadi. Meanwhile, Essam and Dina are still at discord despite Naguib's attempts to reconcile them.
Mariam sends Raji a message confessing her love then she decides to leave him. Essam holds his daughter responsible for bringing her mother back home. Shady sees Reem as she is at Karim's house. Naguib heads to his son's Sami house. Foaud tries to seal his suspicious deals.
Naguib is still unwelcome at Sami's house, especially in the light of Sami's problems with his wife who wants to throw him out. Karim decides to end his relationship with Reem fearing his wife's wrath. Raji embarks on a journey to find Mariam. Dina returns to Essam.
Fouad receives a large shipment of smuggled weapons and manages to bring it to Syria. Sami, meanwhile, is trying to get closer to his family and especially his son Sami who still suffers some disputes with his wife.
Fouad survives an assassination attempt. The dispute still lingers in the air between Essam and Dina, magnified by Essam's search for Dina's lover. Mira looks after a man wounded in the bombing of Homs and she asks Youssef to help her fulfill her mission.
Raji gets in a state of melancholy and despair after Mariam's disappearance. Essam learns that his wife is trying to contact her lover, so he locks her up. After Sami decides to leave the party, he receives numerous threats.
Everyone is saddened by the unfortunate events that have been going on lately. Lina tries to expose the regime's shortcomings. Fouad miraculously survives death. Youssef tells Mira that he loves her and he wishes to return to Syria to work on his documentary.
Fouad has Naguib kidnapped and threatens to kill him. Karim informs his wife that their son went missing, but he finds him with his grandfather. Raji goes mad after he fails to find Mariam. Roba worries that Essam might have killed his wife's lover.
Fouad and Khawaja Adnan enter into a fierce quarrel as Foaud learns that Adnan was the instigator of murdering him. Mariam returns and Raji asks her to marry him.
Dina eventually decides to come clean about her lover and tell her husband she's been cheating on him. Fouad plots with Emad to murder Khawaja Adnan. Sami holds a grand ceremony for the press and he announces that he will officially break up with his wife.
Naguib refuses to sell the house in Damascus because every corner in it holds great memories. Dina decides to leave Essam. Mira tries to figure out if Youssef is involved with the Salafists after he refuses to have a relationship with her.
When he returns home and doesn't find his wife, Essam fights with his daughter and beats her. Sami is still at discord with his political opponents. Naguib bids farewell to his son and his daughter-in-law and decides to go home.
Youssef travels to Syria to finish the documentary, and Mira is shocked to learn that he is Coptic. Roba tries to reconcile her parents in order to save their marriage. Shady decides to tell his mother that he saw his father with Reem.
After he learns that Mira his daughter is in a relationship, Naguib gets ill and is transferred to hospital. Dina proves to her husband that her 'lover' is impotent. Mariam is upset that Raji left her on their wedding day to see his father in the hospital.
Mariam is kidnapped by her cousin. Lina asks Karim to divorce her. Mira is working to have Youssef released after he was arrested for filming the documentary. Dina utterly refuses to return to Essam. Sami refuses to take back his decision to leave the party.
