As the men of the neighborhood gather at the cafe to talk, the good man El Fquih teaches the children the Qur’an in the mosque. Residents of the neighborhood meet to discuss the issue of house demolitions, but Marzouq quarrels with the neighborhood official.

As Fatuma asks the workers to clean the garden for her, she invites them for tea and breakfast. As Aisha becomes angry with Marzouq because he did not buy her the dye, he reconciles with her; when his son asks him for the car, he tells him that it ran out of gas.

Aisha asks the workers to go to her house to paint it and bring the ladder with them. As Fatuma lives alone, the daughter of her neighbor always visits her.

One of the young men of the neighborhood comes to Fatuma's house and drinks tea. El Fatayiri lives far from his children and misses them a lot. El Khidar asks El Fquih for his opinion on marrying a second wife.

Jamal tells the man who rented the shop that he won't give him the permit. Mukhtar buys perfume for his wife from a street vendor and tells her that it's is from Europe. When El Mukhtar's wife tells Fatuma that she feels that her husband wants to take a second wife, she advises her to treat him better.

As Fatuma collects money from the neighborhood residents to circumcise poor children, she borrows from Ghanem, the owner of the food store, because he is miserly.

El Fquih tries to persuade El Mukhtar not to take another wife. The carpenter opens his shop and becomes popular in the neighborhood. As Mukhtar buys another gift for his wife so that he can return home after she kicked him out, she stipulates that he does the housework.

Saliha meets her friend and advises her to get married so that she is relieved from hard work. The women of the neighborhood decide to learn to write and read, and Halima will teach them.

Hoda, who works in the Association for the Defense of Women's Rights, visits her sister and asks her to take care of her health. As the women of the neighborhood go to school to learn, Fatuma brings other women. Marzouq treats a young man with cupping.

Dr. Nour El Din goes to visit Marzouk and meets Saliha and talks with her a little. The men of the neighborhood receive Nour El Din and offer him food and tea.

As Saliha goes with her sick son to Nour El Din, she gives him a trust that she kept for him from his deceased grandmother. Marzouk, Mukhtar, and some men ask Nour El Din to open a clinic in the neighborhood, but he tells them he didn't come from France to work.

El Fquih asks the Lieutenant of the neighborhood to search for a solution for the youth, like a soccer field, to release the energy they have. As the residents of the neighborhood gather at the cafe and agree to build a stadium, the press comes and covers the project.

When the men in the neighborhood feel jealous when the women learn and become educated, they propose to close the school. As the school gets closed with the approval of the majority, the women are saddened and decide to take revenge on their husbands.

The women of the neighborhood go to the local spa to start studying there after the school closes. Marzouq proposes to collect money from the neighbors so that Fatuma can go to Hajj (pilgrimage). Nour El Din receives patients from among the neighbors for free.

The women of the neighborhood hold a demonstration against men's abuse after they prevented them from education; they appear on a TV program and the men see them. A competition takes place between men and women in the cafe.

As Hadi feels guilty for stealing money, he goes to El Fquih in the mosque, asking him how to earn forgiveness, so he tells him to return the money to its owner and ask him for forgiveness. As Ali gets into an accident, all the neighborhood residents go to him in the hospital.

After Ali is discharged from the hospital, Hadi gives him the money which makes him very happy. Marzouq raises money to do some restorations in the neighborhood. When the cafe closes, Marzouq is sad for his friend.

As Nour El Din works in the district hospital, Yaqoot goes to see him for examination, and he reassures her. When Nour El Din's son comes from France to visit him in Muhammadiyah, he introduces him to the neighborhood, but his son doesn't like the place or the people.

Nour El Din's son refuses to live with his father in Morocco and wants to return to France with his mother. As a sports competition is held between men and women in the neighborhood, the men win. Yehia returns to see Fatuma who grieves when she sees him.

The well-known sports commentator talks about the player Hasina, the son of Muhammadiyah, with residents of the neighborhood and the program is broadcast on TV; the neighborhood residents watch it. Yaqoot goes to Aisha to teach her.

The women of the neighborhood gather in the square and bring food and tea with them; El Fquih is pleased with them. Nour El Din drives his son to the airport to travel. Aisha visits Fatuma and brings her the pies she loves.

As Aisha makes pies, Yaqoot asks her for three for Mukhtar and her daughter. When Marzouq's son succeeds, the women of the neighborhood go to congratulate Aisha and bring with them desserts to celebrate.

As Shihab finds Fatuma unconscious in her home, he takes her to the hospital, and all the neighborhood residents are worried about her. As the residents gather to clean the neighborhood garden, the Lieutenant thanks them for their effort.

As Fatuma is discharged from the hospital, the people of the neighborhood greet her with music and serving sweets. Marzouk complains to Fatuma about Aisha after he quarrels with her and leaves the house.

As Ali returns to the neighborhood, his friends rejoice to see him. El Fquih invites them to his house and cooks for them. Aisha and Yaqoot eat the meat prepared by Marzouq. El Fquih advises the cafe owner to register half of the shop over to his nephew.

Ali tells El Fquih and Mukhtar that he has lost his money. As Marzouk reconciles with Aisha and returns the money that he borrowed from her, his son gives her a gift because he sees her as his mother.

Shihab visits Fatuma at home after she is discharged from the hospital. Nour El Din is unhappy because his son traveled and left him alone.

As Nour El Din feels lonely, he thinks about proposing to his neighbor. He meets her in the yard of the neighborhood and asks her to marry him; she agrees. Fatuma faints and is taken to the hospital.

As Fatuma is in a coma, Shihab tells her that he is her real son, whom her husband took from her when she was young, as he went to search for her after he grew up and learned the truth; Fatuma hears him and imagines him as a child.

As Fatuma has the operation, she finds her son Shihab and Nour El Din in front of her. Fatuma returns to the neighborhood in the midst of a big celebration. Nour El Din holds his wedding party, as everyone rejoices.
