A doctor and his wife live a quiet and stable life, but after she becomes pregnant, she develops an obsession that drives her to doubt her husband and worry about the fate of her unborn child. She later suffers a car accident in which she loses her fetus, so she begins to monitor her husband intensively, while those close to them try to help her and find a way to treat her.
