Ashour is a scribe, who writes memos on behalf of the illiterate. Gamalat gives birth to her fourth child, while Ahmed, the diligent student at the Faculty of Law, suffers due to his noisy brother Abdo, who dreams of fame.

Gamalat is surprised by her daughter's death, and Ashour is still distressed by the misfortunes of Abdo. Zain tells everyone that Ashour is in a relationship with Shawq. As Ashour meets his friend, Judge Abdel Fattah, he gets involved in a fight in Shawq's house, and he is imprisoned as a result.

Muhammad and Duha exchange looks of admiration, while Fikri yields to Rustam's pressure and takes advantage of his work to get involved in shady business. Ashour refuses Duha's marriage to Saafan's son. Nafisa is suspicious of Shawq.

Muhammad and Duha secretly meet, and he helps her with her studies. Abdo continues his scams by impersonating famous figures in hopes of fame, while Sobhi is surprised by his mother's marriage to Antar.

Abdo and Ashour are kidnapped until the money that Abdo squandered is paid, and Saeed arrives at the right time to pay the amount, while Fikri appears to be rich. Abdo joins the army after his father’s recommendation, while Muhammad is appointed as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Commerce.

Ashour is worried about Fikri's unjustified richness, and Ahmed begins working in Abdel Fattah's office, while Antar's true colors show, as he prevents Sobhi from completing his education. Muhammad and Duha become engaged, and Ahmed meets Noha, the daughter of a wealthy man.

Ashour gets involved as a witness in a suspicious marriage, and he is arrested as a result, but he is released with the help of counselor Abdel Fattah. Muhammad refuses his mother's request that he leaves Duha, and rumors spread that harm Ashour's reputation.

Abdo's conditions change after he joins the army. Fikri and Gamalat get into an accident, as a result of which their newborn dies. He also confesses to his wife that he stole. Noha experiences a psychological crisis after knowing about Akram's marriage before his death, and Ahmed admires her.

Ahmed tries to get close to Noha, and he declares his love to her. Abdo is appointed as a music teacher. Ashour is surprised by Fikri's arrest, while Abdel Fattah refuses to defend Fikri.

Fikri is sentenced to three years, and Antar transfers the ownership of his wife's property to himself. Sobhi's conditions deteriorate and he becomes a drug addict. Ashour is scammed by Tawakkul, who is arrested. Noha's father refuses her marriage to Ahmed.

Ahmed opens his office, while Ashour is not spared from Tawakkul's influence, so he is reported for occupying the street with his desk. Ashour leaves work in Ahmed's office because one of his clients thinks that he serves drinks.
