Abdul Rahman's wife takes him to the hospital, where the doctor tells her that he has a heart problem and needs an operation. Fatima tells her aunt Bahiga about her brother Abdul Rahman, after which Bahiga goes to check on Abdul Rahman and assures him that she will stand by him.
In the hospital, Bahiga gives her brother Abdul Rahman a check for the amount he wants, after which she asks him to allow his daughter Fatima to live with her for good and to adopt Fatima and leave her all her property after her death, which Abdul Rahman refuses.
Radwan takes Hajj Abdul Rahman to the airport in order to travel abroad for a heart operation. As Mohamed, Radwan's son, meets Fifi (Fatima), Abdul Rahman's daughter, he tries to get close to her.
When Bahiga offers Fatima a job as her financial affairs manager in the department, Fatima refuses, but later on she agrees. Bahiga insists on paying Radwan back for the money he spent on her brother Abdul Rahman's procedures and operation, but he refuses to take the check.
Hajj Abdul Rahman's lawyer contacts Hajja Zainab, his wife, and tells her that Interpol has arrested Abdul Rahman's accomplices, who will be referred to the prosecution upon their return to Cairo.
Layla gets sick and her brothers call the doctor who tells them that her condition is critical but manageable. Fatima wins first prize in a literature contest for the novel The Two Adversaries.
Hajj Abdul Rahman's operation succeeds, after which his wife, Hajja Zainab, returns to Egypt. Dr. Hassan tells Zainab that he wants to marry her daughter, Layla.
The lawyer contacts Hajj Abdul Rahman and tells him that the Interpol forces arrested all the accused in his case, and the prosecution issued a decision to give him back his office. Dr. Hassan asks Layla's father for her hand in marriage.
Hajj Abdul Rahman agrees to his daughter's engagement to Dr. Hassan. Kamal marries Zizi. Journalist Irfan apologizes to Abdul Rahman for what he did to him when the Hajj went to him to explain his true position in the case, in which he's accused.
Mohamed Radwan confesses his love for Fifi. Zizi tells her husband Kamal that she is pregnant. Fifi goes with Irfan to meet her aunt Bahiga.
Dr. Hassan marries his beloved, Layla, and travels with her abroad to perform the operation. Zizi gives birth to her baby by Kamal.
Journalist Irfan gets closer to Fifi and tells her about his feelings for her. As Fifi submits her resignation from the paper, Irfan refuses her request and tears the paper.
Fifi gets acquainted with Irfan's young daughter. Mohamed Radwan approaches Maggie for the first time after his relationship with Fifi failed.
As Mohamed confesses his love for Maggie (Magda), he asks his father to marry Magda, the daughter of Hajj Abdul Rahman. Irfan confesses his love for Fifi.
Bahiga dies and leaves a large part of her property to Fatima, and the rest of it is distributed among her brother and his daughters. Mohamed Radwan tells Hajj Abdul Rahman that he loves his daughter Magda and wants to marry her.
As Irfan asks Abdul Rahman for Fifi's hand, he tells him that he is much older than her, asking him whether he would have agreed, if he had proposed to his daughter, Neama, who's Fifi's age. Irfan evades Fifi after his talk with her father and decides to walk away despite his love for her.
