Sadiq tells his sister-in-law Munira of his intention to propose to Afifa Kamel, while Munira discovers that her husband Mugahid owns land behind her back. Sadiq marries Afifa, believing that a woman plays an important part in his life, but after marriage, he suffers from her absence and her preoccupation with her work, which distresses him.
