Engineer Shawqi is looking for a bride to furnish his fancy apartment and support him financially, so he marries Azza. He then complains to his friend Shawqi about Azza and her mother, and decides to take another wife despite knowing that she is pregnant. When he thinks about divorcing her, Fahmy warns him that a divorce might make the wife a custodian and he would lose his precious apartment.
