In a drama-musical film, Magnolia Hawk, who is the daughter of the "Cotton Blossom" show boat's captain, falls in love with Gaylord Ravenal, a gambler. Matters take a wrong turn when it turns out that gambling is more important than anything else and is putting their love at risk.
