A visual artist faces financial obstacles that prevent him from achieving his goals. A wealthy woman takes care of his finances, and he accepts her marriage proposal. Although she provides financial assistance, he is unhappy and dreams about Chadia, a fictional woman he paints who lives with him and nearly becomes real. Her effect is unavoidable, making his wife jealous.
