Inspired by an old Moroccan tale, the plot follows Aouïcha, known as Douiba for her cleverness and cunning. Aouïcha lives with her father and two sisters, but when her father departs with a trade caravan, leaves the keys to the home with her, and disappears, she uses her cunning to support her sisters and earn their daily bread, which gets into a number of adventures.
