An army commander falls in love with Mina, has a daughter with her, and then leaves them in Munich to continue the war. Longing for his daughter, he considers returning to them, but he becomes distracted again by the war and decides to send his soldier friend Simon to look after his daughter and his beloved Mina. However, what happens to Simon is beyond his expectations.
