Mr. Ghandour, a journalist, suffers from his inability to find a new idea to write about. He meets Abdel Mawla, who tells him that he was deceiving his father that he was diligent in his work. He also tricked Batta into thinking that he loved her, until his father discovered the truth about his corrupt morals and forbade him from finishing his education at Oxford.
