Ahmed has raised Fajr since she was a little girl. When she grows up, he asks her mother to inform her that her father is still alive. Fajr's father reflects on how he abandoned his wife and daughter Fajr to wed Nadia, who gave him more children. Fajr's mother dies of cancer.

Fajr decides to seek her father Abdullah, but Abdullah's wife refuses to allow her to stay. Abdullah tells Fajr that his mother is the one who forced him to divorce Fajr's mother and abandon her. Fajr's siblings offer nothing but resentment and rejection when they meet her.

Fajr confides in Mashary, the stable hand, and shares her wish to leave and return to her old life. When Nadia tries to forces Fajr to wed Tamer, the smitten Mashary grows upset.

Mashary abandons Fajr and tells her that he must keep his distance due to the social and financial differences between them. Fajr's father wants her to wed Tamer to herald a merger between his company and that of Tamer's father. Fajr is forced to consent to the marriage.

Tamer suspects that his wife Fajr and Mashary are having an affair. Mashary and Tamer reconcile after Fajr gets pregnant. Abdullah fires Mashary after the latter quarrels with one of Abdullah's sons.

Fajr tries to apologize to Mashary for his termination. As time goes by, Fajr gives birth. Tamer passes away in a major accident. Mashary's life takes a turn and he launches his own project. Fajr weds Mashary against her father's wishes.
