As Talaat and Safaa wed, the latter struggles to deal with her domineering mother-in-law, who keeps belittling her due to her lower social class. When Wedad is unable to pay her rent, she asks her brother Abdel Alim for help.

Safaa quarrels with Talaat over his mother. Abdel Alim asks Radwan to help Dr. Raafat get an apartment to open his practice. Safwat's mother asks her son to help his father find a job after his retirement from his government job.

Raafat rents a clinic. Abdel Alim is shocked when his neighbor Umm Masoud asks for Wedad's hand for her son. Safaa returns to her job at school.

Ibtisam opposes her mother's marriage. Raafat and Safwat agree to pay off their father's debts. Safaa complains to her brother, Safwat, that her mother-in-law is staying with her on a permanent basis.

Hanaa quarrels with Safwat for giving his mother money. Raafat is shocked when Saad sells his clinic. Ragaa tries to convince Raafat to find a job for his father so the latter could pay off his debts.

Abdel Alim is forced to take a job as a cab driver for Master Radwan, a fact that he keeps from his wife and children. As Raafat tells Safwat that he wants to work abroad, Safwat tries to convince him to partner up with him on a project. As Jaber proposes to Sahar, Radwan approves the marriage.

Safaa discovers that Talaat's mother wants to marry Magdy. Radwan buys a new taxi and asks Abdel Alim to become its driver.

When Abdel Alim's children discover that he is working as a cab driver, they try to convince him to leave the job and trade in spare parts for computers instead, but Abdel Alim refuses.

Safwat and Raafat oppose their father's job as a driver and blame Radwan for buying the taxi, demanding that their father sell it.

Talaat is upset when he learns that his mother wants to have a lavish wedding. Raafat tells his father that he had postponed his project to await Safwat's return from his travels.

As Umm Talaat holds her wedding, her son refuses to attend. Abdel Alim goes back to driving the taxi. Wedad starts working as a seamstress. Safwat's mother discovers that her daughter Safaa is pregnant.

Talaat gets upset when he sees Abdel Alim driving the taxi in front of his school, leading him to quarrel with Safaa. Abdel Alim gets into a car accident.

When Umm Talaat discovers that Magdy is defrauding her, the latter divorces her after taking all her money. Safwat gets promoted to be the deputy manager in his company. One of the company's employees forgets a bag of cash in Abdel Alim's taxi.

As an investigation is launched into the disappearance of the money, Jaber's relative finds the money in the taxi and takes it, using it to marry the mayor's daughter. Abdel Alim tries to help his friend Adnan, who has fallen sick as his son left him behind and traveled abroad.

During the investigation, Abdel Alim gets arrested after the employee, Tarek, identifies him. As Abdel Alim gets imprisoned, Raafat and Safwat manage to uncover the identity of the real culprit.

Safwat and Raafat locate Jaber's relative and report him to the police, managing to prove Abdel Alim's innocence. As Ragaa's health goes downhill, she only recovers when she learns of Abdel Alim's innocence. Adnan opens a retirement home for the elderly in his villa.
