Days before his wedding, Hatem, a journalist and proofreader, suffers an accident that causes him to lose his sight. He breaks off his engagement to Hala, refusing to let her marry him out of pity. He then continues to attend opera concerts, where he meets Sanaa, the mute girl, and falls in love with her and decides to marry her. But it's revealed that Sanaa is actually Hala in disguise.
