Nagla dreams of the decision to demolish her old buildings in order to inherit and change her life. She travels with her son Hamdi to Port Said, where her aunt suggests buying an inn for investment. But her husband, Makram, refuses to live off her money, and disputes flare up. Makram accuses his wife of having ruined their lives with her money, but she believes that having ambition is not a crime.
