The events take place in Granada during the golden age of Al-Andalus, where Sultan Abu'l-Hasan Ali ibn Sa'd, at the suggestion of Sultana Fatima, summons Musa ibn Abi al-Ghassan to assume command of the army, believing him to be the most capable leader to repel enemy attacks.
