The event is set on the deck of an old wooden ship that was bought to help some young criminals get their lives back on track. Soon after joining the trust fund's board of directors, many murders take place, and Mrs. Marple is the only one who witnesses one of the deaths on board the ship. She starts an inquiry to find out what the crimes were and solve the mystery surrounding those occurrences.
