Sami wakes up to find himself in the apartment of a woman called Hala El Nems who was killed in her room, so he rushes to his house and tries to remember what happened yesterday after he divorced his wife Nagwa, who spent all the household money on buying stuff for herself.

Umm Hamdi tells Sami that he returned with bloodstains on his shirt, and when he goes to the newspaper where he works, Mr. Ihsan tells him that he knows what Hala’s killer looks like, while Nagwa has a nervous breakdown as a result of the divorce.

As the police begin an investigation into Hala's murder, Sami tries to wipe his fingerprints from her apartment, only to discover that his newspaper colleague Samira knows that he was in Hala's apartment at the time of her death.

Nagwa accuses Saad of stealing her father's money. Sami tells his friend Grawny about what happened to him and the story of his presence at the home of the murdered Hala. Samira recalls a conversation between her and Hala about a dangerous person threatening to kill her.

The police learn that the newspaper’s managing editor, Sabri, had an affair with Hala, and the doorman at Hala’s building recognizes Sabri, Ihsan, and Sami as the people who visited Hala at the time of the crime.

The police conduct a search in Hala's room at the newspaper, which makes Sabri worry. Grawny tries to find out any information about Hala from the owner of the apartment. When Sami goes to Samira at her home, he finds her murdered.

A masked person locks Samira's room from the outside while Sami is in there, and when the latter manages to escape and returns to his home, he is surprised by the same person hitting him on the head, after which he takes one of the cameras.

The police investigate Samira's murder, whereas the officer finds out that Sabri was married to Hala before her murder. Nagwa suffers from a severe mental breakdown, which makes her enter a psychiatric hospital.

Nagwa tells Sami that Nazira is her step-mom, not her mom, but the latter presents papers stating that Nagwa is schizophrenic, that she’s in fact her mom, and that she suspects that Saad is Hala's killer. The doorman Diab tells the officer of his suspicion that the butcher Zaki is Hala's killer.

Nazira confesses to Sami and Nagwa that she’s not really her mom, and blackmails Sami to divorce Nagwa again, in exchange for not having him convicted in Hala’s murder. Grawny travels to Aswan to collect information about El Nems family, and promises to prove Sami’s innocence.

The police arrest Khamis, and investigate the presence of Hala’s necklace in his possession. The chief inspector looks for Sami, and learns that Shakir was murdered in Samira's apartment in Alexandria.

The police look for Sabri, charging him with killing Hala. Saad threatens to expose Zahira’s attempt to kill Nagwa's father and seize her money. Major Mustafa receives a phone call from an unknown person warning him not to continue looking for the killer.

Sami travels with Mustafa to Tanta to collect information about El Nems, Hala's father. The officer is shocked to learn that Fayrouz killed her husband, Zaki the butcher, following an argument between them.

Sami and Mustafa meet with El Nems’s first wife in Upper Egypt, who tells them how El Nems went to prison, and that she’s not Hala's mother. The officer questions Umm Hamdi regarding the murder charges against Sami.

The police arrest Sami. Sabri discovers that his wife has dropped the forgery lawsuit against him. Ihsan informs the officer that an unknown person was threatening to kill Hala.

The police arrest Saad and Nazira on charges of killing Nagwa's father, while Maha and Murad get arrested on charges of killing Hala and Samira. It’s revealed that Murad’s real name is Shanwani, and that he escaped from prison earlier, and Sami is acquitted.
