Afaf's husband, Imad, comes home drunk every night. His brother Salah discovers his marriage to another woman and quarrels with him, while Imad demands his share in the company.

Adel asks his mother for money for his son's treatment. Nada tells Hadeel that she is waiting for Hazem to return. Imad asks his brother Saad, the lawyer, to file a case to divide the inheritance.

Salah establishes a business partnership with Akram and is thinking about marrying Nada off to him. Maha enters the hospital after suffering a health problem amid Imad's grief.

Nader, who suffers from a mental disorder, asks Salah to give him his share of his father’s money so that he can get married. Salah refuses to divide the inheritance and tells his mother about it. As Maha dies, Imad feels guilty towards her.

The Hajja falls ill and is taken to the hospital, while Nada's scared for her, while Afaf returns to her parents' house and decides to file for divorce from Imad after learning that he has taken another wife.

Hazem's brother, Adel, decides to sell his mother's house to Salah and buy a store for him to work in. The Hajja is discharged from the hospital and decides to register her share of her husband's inheritance in Nada's name without telling her siblings.

Saad tries to get closer to Ahmed to reach his sister. Akram suggests to his father to expand his partnership with Salah in importing. Imad remembers his wife Maha and his cruelty to her because of her pregnancy.

The Hajja registers her inheritance from her husband in Nada's name. Akram partners up with Salah on business deals, and Nada meets Hazem and they talk about their relationship.

Nada goes out on an inspection tour of the chicken farms, while Imad admires Hadeel. Imad asks Afaf’s father to bring his daughter back home and threatens to divorce her if she does not return.

Salah learns that the Hajja has registered her inheritance in Nada's name and quarrels with her. Nader decides to leave Street 40. Imad remembers his relationship with Maha and experiences a period of despair because of her death.

Afaf returns to college, while Imad is sad and stays at home. Salah decides to demolish the house so he can build a building in its place, despite the Hajja and Nada’s refusal.

As Nada visits Imad and tries to get him out of his isolation, he tells her about his problem with having children because of his father’s cruelty towards his family in the past. Saad goes to collect rent from the residents, making Salah angry.

Imad leaves his house and visits his mother. He also asks Salah to give him money to reopen his shop, and Salah discovers that his son has stolen money.

Afaf asks Imad for a divorce, but he refuses. Hazem collects money for his marriage to Nada. Akram gives Salah a large sum of money for an important deal.

Aqeel's father goes to take him out of the police station after he was arrested. Imad wants to marry Hadeel, and Saad's wife runs away from home and leaves her children there.

As Saad's wife is admitted to a mental hospital, the Hajja grieves for her, and Imad feels sad for her children, while Saad files a case to divide the family home.

Imad's shop is a success with the help of Amira. Salah discovers that his son stole his mother's gold. Hazem tells Nada that he has opened a new shop, much to her joy.

Imad insists on marrying Hadeel even after learning that she is engaged. Salah quarrels with his wife after accusing Aqeel of stealing her gold. Saad asks Faten to marry him.

Nada visits Saad's two sons and gives them gifts, while she gets to know Akram after inspecting his poultry farm.

As Salah discovers that Nader is his brother, he becomes angry and denies the matter for fear of sharing the inheritance with him. Nada rejects Akram's request to marry her, and the Hajja tries to convince Imad of the importance of having the children in the house.

Imad agrees to Nada's marriage to Hazem amid her joy at the news. Akram doubts Salah’s credibility with him after he refuses to store the goods with him.

Afaf is divorced from Imad while her family is happy to get rid of him. Imad tries to restore his life. Saad tells his father-in-law of his decision to marry another woman to take care of his two children.

A court session is scheduled to divide the inheritance among Hajj Sadiq’s children. Akram agrees with Salah’s assistant to remove his goods from the warehouse without Salah’s knowledge. Nada is surprised by Saad’s marriage to a poor girl after he opposed her marriage to Hazem because of his poverty.

As Aqeel and his friends are arrested on charges of theft, Salah tries to get him out. Saad is unhappy despite his marriage. Akram seeks to break up his partnership with Salah after confirming that he is not being honest with him.

Saad divorces Faten after discovering that her brother stole from him. Nada celebrates her marriage to Hazem. Aqeel is imprisoned amid his father's grief over him. Akram gets his goods and breaks up his partnership with Salah.
