He claims to be an athletic, courageous and charismatic person on social media to change his luck and succeeds in his plan and attracts his dream girl Birdie. Sam pretended to be someone else whenever around Birdie and eventually had to tell her the truth before it was too late.

Sam Newman (Justin Long) is a lovesick writer who, despite many attempts, has failed to find the girl of his dreams. When he meets Birdie (Evan Rachel Wood), Sam is immediately smitten and comes up with a dubious plan to impress her by pretending to share all the same interests, which he learned from her social media profile. The plan actually works and Birdie starts to fall for Sam, or at least the person he has been pretending to be. That is when Sam realizes that he has to come clean and tell her the truth before it is too late.
