Abdel Hamid prepares to throw a huge party, inviting all the influential people in the government to announce his new project. Manal tries to incite her husband, Mortaga, against his friend Abdel Hamid, using the latter's success to make Mortaga envious.

Abdel Hamid is furious that the state officials have sent an inspection committee to oversee his new projects. Manal brings her cousin Fatma to live with her, so that she could seduce Mortaga's son, Hazem.

When the inspection committee finds that the construction materials used in Abdel Hamid's project are not up to par, Abdel Hamid grows angry and falls ill after his properties are subjected to governmental supervision.

As Abdel Hamid's family suffers in the wake of their loss of fortune, his relatives arrive from Upper Egypt to check on him.

When Abdel Hamid's family is forced to lower their expenses until the investigation into Abdel Hamid's violations is over, the family is forced to fire all the staff in their villa, except for Saber and his wife Rawhiya. Mortaga warns Hazem about Manal's machinations.

When Samy decides to look for work, his friend gets him a job as an engineer in a major company. Samy is put in charge of a big project that will participate in an international competition. Suzy decides to work in journalism.

Manal imposes her control on Mortaga. As she accompanies him to the company against his will, she makes a deal with other companies to seize some projects from Abdel Hamid's company.

Suzy's ex-husband, Barakat, threatens to sue her for custody of their daughters. Fatma and Hazem grow close and fall in love.

Ratiba's friend suggests for Suzy to marry the elderly Kazem, who can solve all the family's financial problems. Mortaga visits Abdel Hamid to check up on him and complain about Manal.

Rawhiya comes up with ideas for Abdel Hamid's family to provide their basic needs, suggesting for them to buy a cow and cultivate their land. Abdel Hamid agrees to Rawhiya's idea, but suggests postponing it for a while.

After a fight with Manal, Mortaga falls ill. Samy talks to his family about expediting his marriage to his fiancé, considering that he is going to travel soon.

When one of Suzy's colleague comments that her father is an influential man who impacts major decisions in the country, Suzy has a fight with him. Manal plots to seize half of Mortaga's company and properties.

Hazem grows close to the dancer, Shukriya. Manal launches a smear campaign against Abdel Hamid, making use of tabloids to tarnish his reputation. Manal tries to mend fences with Mortaga.

Samy weds Mona and they leave for the Red Sea. Manal reflects on how Abdel Hamid rebuffed her advances on him when she was working for him. Manal puts her plot to seize her husband's fortune into effect.

As Mortaga quarrels with Manal, he is rushed to the hospital in critical condition. When Abdel Hamid visits him at the hospital, he learns that Mortaga is in a perilous condition.

Saber is overjoyed to learn of Rawhiya's pregnancy. As Fatma confronts Manal and criticizes her for neglecting the hospitalized Mortaga, Fatma ends up leaving Manal's house.

When Mortaga sends Abdel Hamid to make sure that everything is in order at his company, Manal gets in Abdel Hamid's way. Mortaga asks his doctor to keep the news about his recovery from Manal.

When Hazem suggests for his father to partner up with Shukriya after the latter's retirement from dancing, his father tells him to propose the idea to Abdel Hamid. Samy and his wife travel to Lebanon.

Hazem asks for Mortaga's blessing to marry Shukriya. Mona runs into her brother in Lebanon and discovers that he had amnesia. Omar gets engaged to Suzy.

Manal is shocked when Mortaga is released from the hospital and returns to the company. When Mortaga learns that Manal took two tenders from Abdel Hamid's company, he rebukes her and tells her that the tenders are beyond his company's usual work.

When Manal reveals her ownership of half of Mortaga's company, he falls ill. After Suzy and Omar discover that Manal used an imposter to seize the ownership of the company, she gets arrested. As Abdel Hamid gets his properties back, he announces the engagement of Hazem and Shukriya.
