The Red Army was one of the best Russian hockey teams during the Cold War. The history of that team is monitored through the eyes of its coach, Slava Fetisov. Slava had political and athletic opponents, but he wanted to bring his town into the 21st century to show that sport is not only a creative outlet but also a way to preserve the nation's culture and identity.
