As Manal is accused of killing her husband Faras, the Public Prosecutor, Talal, is investigating the case. Abu Abdullah asks the lawyer Basma to take over the defense of Manal.
Basma recalls her old love relationship with Talal, which has ended. Basma agrees to defend Manal despite being warned by her sister, Munira, the prison officer.
Basma meets Manal's mother to gather information about her daughter. Khalid incites Reem to take over the management of her brother, Faras' company to take advantage of it.
Basma meets Rashid, the partner of Faras who has been killed, to gather information about his enemies. Rashid tells her about Khalid. Umm Yacoub is disappointed because her son is reckless.
As Abu Faras tells Rashid that his daughter Reem has taken over the management of the company, he dismisses him. Talal begins the investigation with Manal in the presence of Basma, who turns to psychiatrist Maha to help her in the case. Yacoub asks Jarrah to monitor Basma.
Doctor Maha reveals to Basma that her patient, Reem is Faras' sister and that she is mentally ill. Basma's brothers try to persuade her to reject Manal's case.
Maha tells Basma that Reem has hallucinations. Manal tells Basma how she has met her husband, Faras, and about her employment in Abu Abdullah's company.
Manal explains to Basma how her problems with her colleague, Rawan have begun. Manal also talks about her husband's family's hatred towards her and about Reem's employment in the company with her.
Manal tells Basma about Yacoub's attempts to get closer to her through his sister. Abu Abdullah asks Jarrah about his relationship with Yacoub and how he got to know him.
Yacoub tells Jarrah that his sister, Ritaj, has taken advantage of Manal. Jarrah discovers Rawan's love for Faras. Manal tells Basma that Yacoub has proposed to her, but she has rejected him. Jarrah reveals to Basma that he has been a thief and that he has known Yacoub through theft.
Manal tells Basma about the enmity between Khalid and Faras as Faras has rejected Khalid's proposal to marry his sister, Reem, so Khalid has incited Yacoub to steal the money and cause an accident to Faras. Basma suspects that Faras' murder has something to do with Reem.
Khalid relishes Reem's psychological distress. Officer Talal challenges Basma who goes to Faras' home to gather information about the crime, but his parents expel her.
Raed, Munira's former fiancé, tries to reconcile with her, but she refuses. Basma continues to gather information about Reem, and Jarrah tells her that he suspects that Reem, Khalid, and Rawal have conspired to kill Faras.
Reem refuses to meet psychiatrist Maha, and Abu Talal refuses to enter into a partnership with Khalid, so Reem revolts against him.
Raed proposes to Munira, but Basma refuses because he is already married. In the meantime, Umm Reem tries to persuade Faras's father to approve on the marriage of their daughter Reem. Manal recalls when Faras wanted to divorce her.
Munira insists on marrying Raed, but she retracts her decision when she meets his first wife and learns that she is pregnant. Yacoub beats his sister, Ritaj and disapproves on her marriage to Hamd. A car follows Basma and tries to kill her.
Talal interrogates the company's employees and confronts Abu Abdullah with his relationship with Manal. Basma quarrels with Rashid over his visit to Manal in prison. As Manal has a large stake in the company, Basma asks her to make a power of attorney for Rashid to manage it.
Yacoub and Jarrah quarrel and the police arrest them. Umm Reem meets psychaitrist Maha to learn about her daughter's condition. To Reem's surprise, there is a relationship between Rawan and Khalid.
Rawan informs Abu Faras that Rashid has taken over the management of the company. An anonymous person blackmails Abu Faras in order not to expose his secret. Reem has a nervous breakdown and is taken to the hospital.
Munira agrees to marry Maha's brother. Basma confronts Abu Faras with the murder of his son Faras with his own gun and his son's sterility.
Umm Yacoub finds a bag of money in Yacoub's room, and Ritaj assures her that it is the evidence of Manal's innocence. Ritaj agrees to marry Hamd behind her brother's back. The police arrest Yacoub. Jarrah blackmails Khalid threatening to report him to the police.
Basma suspects that there is a link between Jarrah and the murder, and Abu Faras is surprised by a masked man who breaks into his house.
Hamd pays bail to release Yacoub from detention. Khalid marries Rawan after handing over important documents condemning him.
A thief attacks Abu Faras' house, but he refuses to report it to the police, which puzzles his wife. Reem leaves the hospital. Abu Abdullah reveals to Basma that Abu Faras wanted to marry a woman in the past.
Abu Abdullah reveals to Basma that Abu Faras married Umm Jarrah. Yacoub tries to prove to Manal that he has only stolen the money bag and has nothing to do with the murder.
Abu Abdullah asks Jarrah to return to work and live with him. Talal investigates Jarrah in terms of his involvement in the case and his relationship with Manal.
Munira's fiancé asks her to expedite their marriage. Reem tells her father that a masked person entered her room and that it is the same person who beat him.
Abu Abdullah rebukes Abu Faras for not reporting to the police that a masked person has attacked them. Munira is monitored by a car, and someone tries to attack her.
An unknown person spies on Basma, and Manal is going to court to hear the verdict of Faras' murder.
During the trial, Jarrah quarrels with Abu Faras telling the story of his mother's marriage to Abu Faras and how the latter has tortured them. Eventually, Jarrah confesses to killing Faras to get back at Abu Faras. Khalid divorces Rawan, and Basma asks Jarrah to appoint her to defend him.
