Ichabod Crane, a soldier serving under General George Washington, dies in battle after slaying the Headless Horseman, both falling together. Over two centuries later, Ichabod awakens when a dark force resurrects the Horseman, their fates bound by shared blood. Police Lieutenant Abbey Mills investigates the murders, uncovering two opposing forces, one of light, the other of darkness.
