Muftah is a young man who dreams of becoming a famous actor. He works in a filming location with the director, Sultan. Thirty years later, he manages to have small roles in some works.
Muftah gets a new role in a play, but he fails to play it, and both the lead star and director quarrel with him. He asks his friends Khamis and Hassan to work with them at weddings so that he could get money.
The director refuses to let Muftah get his job back, but the regisseur stipulates that if he brings him extras for the play, he will convince the director of his return. Muftah asks Khamis to make his troupe members join the play, but Khamis can't find them.
Muftah escorts the troupe members to the theater, while Khamis continues to search for them to sing at a wedding. The director is surprised by their beating of drums while performing the show as if they were at a wedding.
After the play ends, the troupe members are surprised that their clothes are missing. They go to the wedding in their war costumes, and there they meet Khamis while the groom quarrels with them.
The producer admires the musical troupe and tells Muftah that he wants them to star in the new series of his production. Muftah wants the producer to hire him as the production manager.
Muftah convinces Faisal of his new work in production. He asks him to agree to let the troupe work with him. Hassan's son admires Salwa, Muftah's daughter.
The director asks Muftah to meet the series director, who wants Muftah to email her the production details. Muftah tells Hassan and Faisal that they will work with him in the production services and accounts.
Muftah quarrels with Hassan's son for flirting with his daughter, Salwa, so he asks for her hand in marriage. Muftah is surprised by Khamis courting director Basil's secretary. Basil reveals that he's secretly married to the secretary, and upon the latest events, he divorces her.
Director Basil entrusts Muftah with a sum of money to manage the production of the series. Muftah begins distributing the money around, and he promises his people to get them roles. Meanwhile, Muftah's daughter refuses for Ali to come to propose to her.
In order to cut down the production costs of the series, Muftah asks his wife to leave the house, along with his children, to film in it. The lead actress of the series is surprised when Khamis asks to give her a ride in the troupe's bus.
The troupe members think that Muftah and Khamis will not ask them to star in the new series. Khamis introduces them to actress Sabha. Muftah tries to apologize to his mother to make sure she will support him and his family financially.
Failing to find a filming location, Muftah is forced to film at his house, despite the director's initial refusal. Basil admires Muftah's daughter and tries to flirt with her.
Muftah fails to manage the production of the series from his home, so Salem asks his assistant, Ashraf, to manage the job in Muftah's stead.
The musical troupe starts to perform at weddings again. Muftah agrees with the bank manager to fund him personally to produce another series.
Muftah agrees with his friend Hassan to open a music recording company, and he stipulates that Hassan's son must marry Muftah's daughter first.
Muftah turns to old and retired actors to take part in his new work, while Khamis insists on firing Sa'eed and his colleague from the musical troupe after they hijack the troupe's bus.
Basil's secretary suggests that he divorce the actress Nour to cut down the series budget, and Nour destroys Basil's office upon learning that she got replaced by another actress. Khamis agrees with Muftah and Hassan to join them in the new company.
Actress Nour decides to withdraw all her money from the bank and return to Lebanon, and the bank manager convinces her to star in Muftah's series. As Muftah receives the episodes of the series, he, Hassan, and Khamis start with choosing a title for the series.
The bank manager asks Muftah to cut down the series’s budget. Muftah’s mother blames him for not telling her about his daughter's engagement. Khamis tells the troupe members that they will take part in a major historical heritage series.
Basil threatens Mahmoud, the bank manager, to withdraw all his assets from the bank if he continues to work with Muftah. Muftah considers filming his daughter's wedding as part of the series.
Mahmoud asks Muftah to let actress Nour star in the series, and Muftah's kids ask their father to let their schoolmates participate in the series. Khamis and Hassan succeed in getting Sultan out of the hospital.
Basil asks the star of the series to film the episodes without Muftah's knowledge. Muftah's daughter's wedding ceremony takes place, and Muftah films it as part of the events in the series. The actress Nour insists on playing the part of the bride instead of Muftah's daughter.
Muftah's wife beats actress Nour, who is taken to the hospital, and she files a complaint against Muftah, but he persuades her to marry him in exchange for dropping the report. Basil is enraged when he finds out.
The police investigate Hassan, Khamis, and Muftah about the sinking of the ship transporting the troupe. Muftah's first wife discovers his marriage to the actress, Nour.
When Muftah tells his wife Nour that he has spent all the money allocated to the series, she quarrels with him and tries to convince Khamis to work with her.
Nour agrees with Hassan and Khamis to be their partner in their production company. Meanwhile, Muftah tries to persuade his mother to lend him money until the series is completed.
Muftah persuades the director Ashraf to direct a work of his but the latter fears that Basil would find out, and he agrees with a new writer called Marwan to write the script. Muftah's maid files a report against his wife when she fires her, and Muftah offers to marry her to fix the problem.
Mahmoud tells both Hassan and Khamis that Marwan the writer steals his scripts from foreign films. Nour asks Mahmoud to pay money for Muftah, but he persuades her to accept the leading role in his new series with Muftah.
Nour and Salma's mother both learn of Muftah's marriage to the maid. Muftah becomes a well-known producer after the success of his series, and he begins to produce numerous works.
