Ahmed works in an institution, has two kids whom he tries to teach morals, and lives in a middle-class area, while Shafiq is a businessman with a son whom he pampers and gives money and who is always at nightclubs. Shawky, son of Sayed Ahmed, likes his neighbor, Marwa, who works in a nightclub.

Ilham and Marwa live with their grandma. Shawky tries to get close to Marwa and stop her from going out with men, so she complains to his mother. Shafiq stays out late to gamble and loses money, while his wife meets a young man on the Internet. Marwa wants to get to know her manager at work.

As Shafiq tries to run his company, his wife lives her life online, since Ayman, her son, also doesn't spend time with her. Marwa steals money for her grandma and goes out with her manager. Shawky wants to set up a small project after quitting his studies, unlike his brother who excels in his studies.

Ayman feels tense and gets angry at his collegemates as they accuse him of being a bourgeois who lives on his father's money. As Shawky loves Marwa, he looks for a way to earn money. Shafiq manages to persuade the man to buy the land so that he can set up a project on it despite the state's refusal.

Ahmed and his wife celebrate New Year’s Eve at home. Shawky sees Marwa at the club with an old man and chides her for going out with him. Ayman also meets her. Shafiq celebrates with Makhlouf as he managed to take the land, but there's a new manager at the institution who may not agree to the project.

Marwa's French manager asks to marry her and Sayed Ahmed receives him. Shawky cries as he loves her. Emad starts dating his friend. Sayed Ahmed doesn't agree to the project of Shafiq, who gambles and loses. Ayman discovers his mother's relationship with someone on the Internet, and Shafiq also learns.

Jacques and Marwa visit Shafiq at his house, where she meets Ayman. Emad takes his girlfriend to visit his parents, and she admires his house a lot. Marwa leaves Jacques, meets Ayman in a nightclub, and gets attached to him, while Shawky rejoices as she will not marry Jacques.

Marwa goes with Ayman to his friend's apartment and quarrels with him. As Enas tells her family she wants to marry Emad, they refuse. Marwa tries to prevent Ayman from calling Qais and buying drugs, so he hits her. Shafiq's wife's boyfriend makes a drug, and his mother drinks it, thinking it's water.

Zachariah goes to work in the institution and Ahmed accepts him; meanwhile, his mother's condition improves. He also meets Shafiq and they agree to work together. Ayman tells his mother that he wants to marry Marwa, but she refuses because of her poverty.

As Ayman flunks, his mother gets angry, while he tries to convince Marwa that he will marry her. Shafiq threatens to take revenge on Sayed Ahmed and his children if he does not leave the projects he runs. Enas and her brother meet Emad and Shawky at Sayed Ahmed's house.

Qais tries to find Ayman's number, but Haitham refuses to give him it. Haitham throws a party on the occasion of his success. As the police arrest Emad with drugs in his possession, Sayed Ahmed learns that it's a message from Shafiq's gang to agree to the project; Enas' father goes to defend him.

Sayed Ahmed asks the group to release his son, Emad, and Zachariah asks Shafiq to help Emad get out of prison. As Ayman returns to drug abuse, Marwa quarrels with him, while Zachariah gathers his stuff and tries to escape.

Sayed Ahmed submits his resignation, fearing for his children. Reham starts working in a car shop. Qais asks Ayman to pay for the drugs he took from him. Marwa also starts abusing drugs with him. Enas' father learns that Qais is behind Emad's imprisonment and tries to find the evidence to prove it.

As Ayman leaves the house, his mother looks for him, and Haitham doesn't tell her where he is. Qais rapes Marwa, whom Ayman is unable to defend, then he returns home after being unable to pay Qais the money. With Emad still in prison, the lawyer tries to get him out and find evidence that acquits him.

Ayman dies due to a drug overdose. Marwa tells Shawky what happened to her and that she knows who's behind sending Emad to prison, then she tells the police all the information she has, and the police arrest all the members of the group. Zach escapes, while his mother wakes up from the coma.
