As young Rouh falls inside a tomb, she passes out and gets possessed by a Jinn. Mansour plans to take another wife since his wife, Badriya, can't bear him sons. When Badriya finds out, the shock causes her to get paralyzed.
As Badriya dies, Mansour decides to wed Ne'mat. Rouh grows up without losing her connection to the world of Jinn. Mansour impatiently waits for Hekmat to give him a son since Ne'mat could only bear him girls.
Rouh decides to move in with her father, Mansour. When Eid tries to sexually harass Rouh, she uses magic to fight him off and set him on fire. Eid is saved.
When Mansour finds Rouh in the cemetery, he decides to find a husband for her. Ne'mat asks Rouh to stop using her sorcery against her.
When Gamal gives up hope that he will wed Rouh, Ahlam tries to get close to him. Mansour looks for Rouh after she vanishes from his house.
Rouh gets in a car accident when a man called Hossam runs her over. Mansour takes Rouh's side in a conflict with Ne'mat, and assaults the pregnant Ne'mat. Hekmat gives birth to a boy as Ne'mat gives birth to another girl.
The midwife helps Ne'mat switch her daughter with Hekmat's son. Ne'mat discovers that Rouh knows that the boy is Hekmat's. Gamila tries to convince Hossam to leave the village, but he insists on staying and finding Rouh.
Bekhita tells Rouh that she was possessed by the soul of the Wizard of the Stars. Rouh hints to Hekmat that Nour is her son. Adly tries to throw his son Hossam off the scent of his antiquities trade.
Hekmat suspects that Nour is her son. Rouh asks Gamal to help her get close to Hossam. Adly recruits Mejahid to help him with the antiquities smuggling.
Mansour tries to force Rouh to wed Gamal. Rouh recounts her whole tale to Hossam. Hekmat asks Shaf'i to help her get a divorce from Mansour.
Hossam falls for Rouh after he learns the truth about her. Mansour continues to try to force Rouh and Gamal to wed, but Eid opposes the marriage. Rouh refuses to wed Gamal and sets the house on fire.
Adly tries to convince his wife Gamila to use her association for money laundering. Rouh tells Hossam that she refused to wed Gamal for him.
When Gamal finds out about the relationship between Rouh and Hossam, Rouh uses her powers to wipe Gamal's memory. Mansour forces Hekmat to return to his house.
Mansour tries to force Rouh to give up her land to him. Hekmat tells Rouh that Masnour is going to covertly sell her land. Rouh burns the land deed. Mansour discovers that Rouh sold the land to her maternal aunt.
Mansour tries to take revenge on Rouh by setting her on fire, but the fire grows out of control and burns down the house. Nour dies in the fire, but Rouh disappears and is believed dead. But Rouh actually survives and goes to stay with Hossam.
Mansour loses his mind after Nour's death. Rouh works as a maid in Hossam's house. When Mansour tries to kill Haniya, Gamal fights him off.
Ne'mat tries to find Hekmat to get her daughter back. Hossam's brother, Hany, harasses Rouh who tells Hossam about his brother's actions.
When Mariam suspects that Rouh and Hossam are in a relationship, she kicks Rouh out of the house. Mejahid discovers that Rouh is alive and blackmails her.
Hossam refuses to let Rouh leave the house. Hossam discovers that his father is trading in antiquities. Gamal goes looking for Rouh to confirm that she is still alive.
Hekmat discovers that Merghany is the one who forced Shaf'i to stay away from her. Hossam quarrels with Hany who continues to harass Rouh. Mansour is hired as a guard for Adly's land.
Mariam discovers that Rouh is possessed. Hekmat sues Mansour for Khula (abdicative divorce). Rouh gets jobs for Ne'mat and her daughters at the villa.
Hossam gets kidnapped. Al-Layth Al-Hafy, who controls Rouh, appears to her and orders her to obey him. Hossam discovers that Bahnasy is the one who kidnapped him in order to tell him that he is not Adly's son.
Hossam gets in a car accident on the way back home. Mariam tries to use boiling water to disfigure Rouh's face. As Rouh enlists aid from Hossam, Mariam tells everyone that Hossam is in love with Rouh.
When Hossan discovers that his mother is actually Rozza, he confronts his parents with the truth. Asmaa suspects that Hany and Rouh are having an affair. Hadiya discovers that Eid is wealthy.
Gamila comes clean to Hossam about how they adopted him for the sake of the inheritance. Mansour discovers that Ne'mat double-crossed him and switched her daughter with Nour.
When a thief breaks into Adly's house, Rouh uses her powers to take him down. When Mansour learns about the relationship between Shaf'i and Hekmat, he tries to shoot Hekmat, but her mother ends up being shot instead.
Mansour is arrested for shooting Rozza. Hany propositions Rouh in exchange for getting her father released from prison. Mansour is released when Rozza recovers.
Rouh decides to quit her job at Adly's house and work for Khalil instead. Hossam falls for the dancer Ahlam. Rouh tells Khalil that someone is conspiring against him and offers him her magical protection in exchange for safety.
With Eid on death's door, Rouh interferes to save him. When Hossam discovers that Rozza's house burned down, he suspects Adly of being the perpetrator.
Even though she is a prostitute, Hossam confesses his love for Ahlam. Rouh tells Hany that Khalil used sorcery to help his wife get pregnant.
